jbannon
To celebrate their long standing friendship, Disfear and Doomriders have paired up to release a brand new limited split 7"EP, a joint effort between Disfear's own self ran label, Disfear Records (European territories) and Doomriders' label home, Deathwish (All other territories). With Doomriders, we get a glimpse into their progression since "Black Thunder" in the soon to be classic, "Crooked Path". Easily one of their best songs to date, "Crooked Path" pounds forth with grit, melody, and emotion unlike anything else out there today. On the other side, Disfear unleash the hook laden "Fear And Trembling". This is their first effort since their classic "Live The Storm" album was released by their current label home, Relapse Records. "Fear And Trembling" is a stellar song that expands the boundaries of the D-Beat world that Disfear dominate to this day. A special Disfear Records' "Tour Edition" of this release will be available directly from the bands on their upcoming European tour, while the Deathwish version will be available for Pre-order VERY soon. 10/16: Cambridge, MA @ Middle East Downstairs w/ The Bronx 10/26: Newport, UK @ TJ's w/ SSS, Tortuga 10/27: Plymouth, UK @ White Rabbit w/ SSS, Tortuga 10/28: Sheffield, UK @ Corporation w/ SSS, Tortuga 10/29: Glasgow, UK @ Ivory Blacks w/ SSS, Tortuga 10/31: London, UK @ Bar Academy w/ SSS, Tortuga 11/01: Norwich, UK @ The Queen Charlotte w/ SSS, Tortuga 11/02: Rotterdam, Holland @ Baroeg w/ Disfear 11/03: Hasselt, Belgium @ Muziekodroom Club w/ Disfear 11/04: Budapest, Hungary @ Corvinteto w/ Disfear 11/05: Karlsruhe, Germany @ Alte Hackerei w/ Disfear 11/06: Munchen, Germany @ Kafe Kult w/ Disfear 11/07: Martigny, Switzerland @ Les Caves du Manoir w/ Disfear 11/08: Bolzano Italy @ Petrarca Park w/ Disfear 11/09: Nova, Slovenia @ Gorica Mostovna w/ Disfear 11/10: Wien, Austria @ Arena w/ Disfear 11/11: Prague, Czech Rep @ Futurum w/ Disfear 11/12: Wroclaw, Poland @ Firlej Club w/ Disfear 11/13: Berlin, Germany @ Cassiopeia w/ Disfear 11/14: Athens, Greece @ AN Club w/ Disfear 11/15: Bielefeld, Germany @ AJZ Bielefeld w/ Disfear 11/16: Leipzig, Germany @ Zoro w/ Disfear

tmhunh
disfear are awesome. but how can an album that was released earlier this year be considered a classic? You won't see me disagreeing. Top 2 or 3 release of 2008 for sure.
jbannon
Since I wrote the description, I am the person guilty of considering it a "classic". By that I mean a contemporary classic. I tend to think that many, including myself, that consider themselves fans of the sub-genre hold "Live The Storm" up that high in that regard. Thanks everyone for the support. -J.
