valentine
So I just sold a bunch of records, and while going through my statements, I noticed that Minty labeled his payment as a "gift" and it didnt take anything out fee wise. Is this always the case when you select gift?
mcm1610
I never know what option to click to give the seller the least fees. What should I choose? I guess that's a variation of the same question, right?
geezfools
it looks like as long and it's NOT coming from a credit card, there are no fees... I googled it and it looks like it's only US and possibly UK account and non ebay items. When you choose send money, you click on personal and there should be a gift option. The money has to be in your account already or from a bank account, as far as I know. I wish I had known this yesterday, just sent some money to MRC. qskapunk
I think that the gift option is available for foreign transactions and in that case it's possible that Minty paid the fees - its a UK to US paypal thing from the looks of it if you have a premier account there is no way to avoid the fees if you have a personal account and the payment comes from either a paypal balance or directly from a bank account, there are no fees on incoming payments
Snaggle Von Swift
I send mine from my bank account (no credit card), and I believe people still get hit with fees
