Label owner Chris Wrenn said, "We couldn't be more excited to add Polar Bear Club to the family. This was one of the best and easiest decisions we've made and it's a great way to start off 2009. Not only are they an incredible band, but they know who they are and what they want to be and they fit in perfect perfectly with the way B9 is growing." [blah blah blah, PR hype, blah blah blah] Bridge Nine Records will waste no time. Starting in the spring of 2009, the label will re-release Sometimes Things Just Disappear on gatefold vinyl. In the meantime, Polar Bear Club will be touring the world, kicking things off in February in UK and Europe with The Gaslight Anthem and UK troubadour Frank Turner - complete with a performance at Shockwave's NME magazine awards show at Shepard's Bush Empire in London on February 8th. The band will then hit the studio in April to record their new full-length album due out in the Fall of '09, which will undoubtedly push the envelope for "absolutely spectacular post hardcore" (Absolute Punk) for years to come.
