hey guys packages started going out today. we flattened the letterpress sleeves and put them inside the bags in front of the recular jackets to prevent the spines from crushing and the records from puncturing them. the paper they are printed on is made of cotton and is super durable, so when you get them do not be afraid to manhandle and re fold the scores to get them back into spines. I think we got them as safely packed as possible. thanks again everyone... Mike/Rob

just trying to keep everyone abreast of the situation with the gates record. these go on sale tomorrow at noon (eastern standard). as i mentioned before the regular devildance site is temporarily down, so we're temporarily using a bigacrtel store. here is a link. http://devildancerecords.bigcartel.com/ we're still tweaking the look of the store a little but it is otherwise live.

Gates orders will happen this coming Tuesday, Jan. 3rd at 12 Eastern US time. I posted photos of the limited covers and pressing info at Devildance Facebook Page. Since there has been some issues with our site/store I'm building a temporary one, until we get it sorted out. All of our in print releases will be available on there. In the next day or two I'll come back and post a link, after it's all up and running... just so we don't catch anyone by surprise. Two random people will win a test press, which is pretty good odds for how limited this record is. Also, the records will come with an open free download link that can be used as many times and by anyone... we want you to share it as much as possible. There are going to be a few package options as well, so we haven't sorted out the pricing yet... but we'll try and keep it affordable as we can without declaring bankruptcy. The Gates dudes have been involved in every step of making this record, we are so stoked to bro down with those dudes, and that people are responding to this record so well. Hey everyone, this is Mike from Devildance. We are going to be announcing an official release date for this in the next few days. It's true we have had these 12"'s pressed since Sept. We were actually shooting for August so the Gates guys could have these for tour, but it didn't work out. Since they were on tour for a while and came home with a schedule to start writing we had to put it on hold for a minute. Right now we have everything just about ready, we are just working on a limited version and have to just finish that up. I don't want to give too much away, but VC have always been kind and loyal to us so we will make sure you guys get first crack at ordering. yeah man. im stoked on it. the fact that media isn't picking this up is kind of affirmation that the world has to play by the corperate rules. as far as im concerned as long as lobbying exists democracy cannot work. It's been proven over and over. The fact that we are all paying for these bailouts so these ceos can collect their multimillion dollar "performance based" bonuses, when the only performances these dudes made was collapsing their companies with irresponsible spending and acounting is a perfect example. I mean it just seems like companies are getting greedier. some of the biggest comapnies literally paid no taxes this year because of loopholes in the system even after we footed the bill for this whole housing debacle. the political process stopped serving the people altogether. there is virtually no major industry left in this country. and we are paying for wars and simultaneously talking about how we have no money to support our own people here at home. i'm also not siked about the fact that i've been paying for years for "social security" that i will never see. the system is obviously broke, and i don't necessarily think the people need to converge on key points. i feel like the govt is just not afraid of the people anymore, which is not how this country works. "we the people" are supposed to be in charge. so as long as there is a big enough uprising to remind them that "We the people" are not going to be satisfied with this kind of nonsense it might help get their attention. plus you do not have to be a student of politics to be pissed off and mean it. theres a great line in the declaration of independence... "When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." the way things are going now, we basically have an oligarchy, which is a form of despotism. if the govt. wont start to listen to and serve the people, without the influence of corporate lobbying and big business... it's technically our "duty" as americans to tear it down and make a new one that represents a brighter future. also, most of these people did probably vote for obama, and they were probably hoping he would pan out. of course those people are even more pissed now... i mean isn't that kind of the point of all this?

Here are two I think were way ahead of their time CAN were a trendous Krautrock band.. The Debris from 1975 I wouldn't really call this psych but proto punk for sure... Im really into psych and krautrock if you want a mix I can hook it up for sure..

I don't know if kids on this board are fans of this band, but the video is worth watching in it's own right. These dudes are amazing. The singers from Farside and Gameface too.
