skanknsmile
So, after HWM broke up/took a break, the Draft formed and Chuck Ragan started doing his business. Which camp do you fall in? Personally, I love that Chuck is doing his folk stuff now, and it's great to see him doing something that is different from HWM, where the Draft, while I like them, I really don't keep up with them and just feel like its a HWM record without Chuck. Thoughts?
ericheartsu
the draft. so much better then chuck.
rtw88
I'd go with Chuck. Chuck and HWM are totally separate entities, and while the draft is not bad at all I'd rather just listen to HWM.
danthemjfan23
totally fall with Chuck in this argument. the draft, like you said, is just HWM with chuck singing, so it's dumb to me. chuck is at least doing something different.
AsleepOnRocks
I never really got into HWM, and I don't really care about the Draft, I picked up two or three of their 7"s from a local store and they just didn't do it for me. I do, however, absolutely love Chuck's solo stuff.
machiel
Like them both. Have records of both, been to shows of both. But love the Draft more. Chris Wollard is also very good solo!

wadeboggs
This is a really hard one for me to pick. HWM has been my favorite band since High School. I really think the new Wollard LP is the better than the Draft and solo Chuck.
divaface
chuck's solo stuff is great, gotta go with him.
xjustinxschwierx
Chuck solo > Wollard Solo/Ship Thieves > the Draft
rtw88
Shit, disregard my first post. I don't even know why you would have this argument without including Senses Fail, as they are easily the best HWM related band.
FullCircleHook
Gonna have to go with The Draft, although I like Chuck's stuff as well. I had some good times to that Draft album so I might be biased. Have yet to hear the Wollard stuff, but I'm looking forward to it. Strangely enough, I think I like The Draft's LP better than a couple of Hot Water LP's. I know it's sacrilege...

goraiders
im probably going to get killed for this but Chuck > Draft > HWM
Guest conoley
I like both, but I listen to the Draft album more than I listen to Chuck's.
scotterson
i like chuck better, but i love the draft LP, and definitely think it has a different sound from HWM, at least as much so as you can have with three of the same musicians and wollard's vocals. birdwell
Love it all, The Draft is killer, Chuck's solo stuff is so solid, Wollard's solo stuff is fucking great as well
sgoodcore
I can only take so much singer/song-writer folk-inspired music before every song sounds like a variation on every other song. HWM >>>> The Draft >= Chuck

birdwell
I still like the Rumbleseat version of California Burritos as opposed to Chuck's solo version...the harmony of hollerin' between Wollard and Chuck is just fucking great...waiting for that fucking full length was ungodly...I think I checked the NoIdea site at least once a week for over a year straight hope'n the pre-order would be posted
