magicbulletrecords
Notes on this one: I've had the privilege of following/having access to the evolution and development of Disappearer for what must be 6 years at this point. Jebb gave me the demo in the beginning and has always been sure to keep me up on additional demos and happenings with the band over the years. From the start, and as I listened to song ideas throughout, I kept having the same thought in my head: "fuck, these guys are going to stumble onto something completely unbelievable at some point." And certainly you can't write that intro without saying it: that day is now upon us. What may have seemed like a long time coming was well worth the wait. "The Clearing" is insanely brilliant... one of the best heavy music debuts I've ever heard (and I've heard far too many by now). Please check out the Mp3 and strongly consider picking up a record or CD, as it's truly meant to be experienced in full (start to finish) and with something tangible in your hands (the art that Jebb worked up for this was very labor-intensive). Thanks! MBL113-1 : DISAPPEARER "THE CLEARING" 3-Sided LP - 3-sided debut LP feat. stefan
Golden City does rule. I'm also liking the new Disappearer tracks more than the old album, hopefully this does well.
