mcm1610
I was hungover as shit but hungry, so I just ate half a bag of baby carrots and now I feel great. Or at least almost great. Is there any science behind this, or it just worked for me this once, or it was a coincidence?
kirbypuckett
Apparently bacon is the way to go. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/91178-Bacon-Sandwich-The-Ultimate-Hangover-Cure

minty
It was probably just the water in the carrot rehydrating you. Not really rocket science!
mcm1610
But it was instant.
kurtmanner
Grease, starch, and liquid are the best hangover cures. Basically a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a liter of cola. The cola is a joke, water is really the best bet. However, by FAR the best way to deal with a hangover, is not to get one, which can be done easily by drinking a glass of water (any size helps really) for every alcoholic drink you have. Hangovers are mostly spurred by dehydration.
lovrich
while dehydration is a major cause for a hangover, your body also gets depleted of vitamin B. unless your drinking unfiltered, unpasteurized beer. starch is a great way to get over it, I would steer clear of grease since that would actually take a bit to digest, DRINK WATER AND TAKE A VITAMIN. works for me everytime
mcm1610
Don't forget the electrolytes you lose, which is why Gatorade is my general hangover go-to.

mcm1610
I don't even know what that means, but I laughed at it. PS someone tell my dog to stop digging in the front garden.
tanukichu
My roommate and I either go to the diner or get a cheesesteak (me a veggie one, her a real one) when we're hungover. Works every time. Though I don't get hungover all that much. Maybe I'll try the carrots. I could eat an entire bag of baby carrots while watching a movie or something. Just Another Tom
The only hang over cure you need is salt and water. A friend of mine drinks a teaspoon of salt in a pint of water, but he is 62 and gnarly. I just have some ready salted crisp's/chips what ever you call them and some orange juice. I swear by it. If your at an open air festival add in an apple, some extra goodness and does a great job of making your mouth feel fresh.

Just Another Tom
I'm not sure if you have them in the states, but in the UK they released a tablet to take with every 2 units of alcohol called R U 21s. they are meant to prevent you from getting hungover. me and a few friends tried them once... It's safe to say they don't work. They seemed to stop us getting drunk, and i woke up feeling like i my face had been run over by a truck.
