Duff
i am disappointed by the album. hopefully it will grow on me. the complete lack of horns really hurts them and on some songs it seems they are trying to replace them with guitar lines. i found myself thinking if there were horns here it would be so much better many times. it's definitely more geared towards rock than anything they have done up to this point. the album lacks the energy of their previous albums. instead of jam outs it's a lot of whispy vocals and effects. the vocals are amazing as always though. maybe if this was their first album, or they never had horns at any point i would like the album more. but this album had a lot to live up to. garpo3000
Yeah, it does sound quite a bit different. I'm sure it will take a little bit of time to adjust to the new sound. I didn't take on to their other stuff right away. I'm sure a few weeks down the road the album will be rocking.
goraiders
this was one of the few bands where i liked how they originally sounded and i liked their evolved sound... until now.
garpo3000
Don't write them off so quick everyone. I wasn't particularly blown away on the first listen but it is growing on me a lot. I don't like what they did with his vocals at all. But RxB is always the kind of band that evolves with each listen. It is good stuff. Just not what I expected. benchwarmer
I really like that song that's available for dl on that windows site. looking forward to hearing the whole thing.
Duff
i'm wondering how they will play their old stuff now that they don't have any horn players left, or at least how it will sound. i haven't seen them live in over a year. but i saw them the last night Borth played with them, and a few days later saw them the first night without Borth and i barely noticed he was missing. i remember because at the time i didn't know Borth quit the band, they announced it at the show, both actually. xlovecolouredx
after checking my slimmy wallet, only cd is fit for me. let me jealous by picture when you guys got this record....
Duff
i just realized that if you buy just the vinyl by itself, clear is more expensive than the black version. lame.
monk0nuggets
After listening to this all the way through, I am very impressed. It's still sadly missing horns, but what can you do? I feel like this album is more cohesive than the last, but it lacks the ridiculously catchy choruses. Maybe I'll find them after I listen a few more times. garpo3000
Really? More cohesive than the last? Completely disagree. It is a good album but I don't think you can get more cohesive (and perfect) than ATBB.
monk0nuggets
I think ATBB was incredible, but I thought either the songs should be in a different order or get rid of the song "On A Lonely Screen" from the album. That song fucks with the flow of the record for me. It's not a bad song, just doesn't seem to meld with the rest of the songs. The Resignation, on the other hand, has perfect flow. garpo3000
Thats really funny. I feel the exact opposite. I feel like ATBB was perfect and not a second of it should be changed. I think the new album is good but the order is all goofy and certain tracks don't belong and certain jams are out of place.
ijux
very good album! pre-ordered the deluxe package!

katebandit
I absolutely love this album, and I think it's their best work to date. Ordered the clear vinyl. Can't wait to spin it.

ijux
fave track atm; "Bury It Down Low"
garpo3000
Bury It Down is pretty awesome but would be so much cooler with signature Borth and Sheets horns instead of the watered down version on this album.
garpo3000
By no means am I one of those "RX is no good without horns" people but this track just needs em. Period.

matt
they didn't have them at the show last night but said they would have them "soon"
garpo3000
The CD's got shipped out yesterday. The bands manager said the vinyl won't ship until 7/
garpo3000
So according to Twitter the clear vinyl isn't clear. It is translucent blue. Lame.
