Duff
there is no way you can even say Spain wasnt trying or anything like that. they had an unbelievable winning streak going, and im sure they are pretty pissed off that it was ruined by USA. Spain has the longest international undefeated streak ever, 34 games which started in 2006, until they lost the other day. which is 2 more than the previous record holder, Hungary. Guest vito
No one likes to lose, and I'm sure they tried to win. But in reality, this tournament means nothing. Just a chance for teams to test out some different lineups.

I think the previous record holder was Brazil. Anyway, sunday we'll meet again, and i think it'll be not so different from the previous game. You guys did a good job against Spain though. Congrats. xlovecolouredx
hey americans, do you think who will win ? brazil or the states ?
eatmorebeans
I'm not American, but I hope the US win... got a bit of a soft spot for them since my team signed Maurice Edu. Would be nice to see Beasley playing and not getting kicked up in the air every time he touches the ball like he does in Scotland as well. :-[
slymer
Beasley needs to get out of Scotland. The league is just too physical for the little guy. Edu fits in nice though. Too bad he's hurt. We could use him in this tournament.
dcstrange87
Even though I am really pissed off that Bradley is out because of a bullshit red card (one harmless foul, one red card? are you kidding me?) I'm glad we have Benny in there to take his place...or at least we should have him in there lol.
slymer
Let me guess. Brazil isn't trying either? 2 - 0 USA!!!!!

slymer
Good match. You can't tell me Brazil didn't care. They were going nuts!
inutil
We did care. The press was all over the Confederations Cup these past weeks. It's not the World Cup but it's an important competition, a big one.
slymer
I was referring to a poster from Hungary earlier in the thread and comments I'd been reading on other message boards. Congrats. Brazil was definitely the best team in this tournament.
xfactor675
I have to admit, that the US played well. It was a great game. But I'm still saying this means close to nothing. If similar thing will happen or they can survive group stages next year, please remind me to say sorry. Of course this was all over in the news in Brazil, you guys are addicted to the football inutil.
