dante3000
I feel shameful and dirty. Seriously, arguing with only 140 characters is annoying and stupefying. Unfortunately, I'm also petty and don't usually walk away from anything. Way for being a mature adult.

lonesomexloveus
i've been following this; it's pretty amusing, haha. i think they should put more effort into making music that's listen-able and less effort into twittering every 30 seconds at people. dante3000
What happened good sir? Point by point in 140 or less: I wrote that I wasn't stoked for Warped Tour. Some band searched "Warped Tour" and saw that I mentioned it. Band sends me a "Hey you might like us!" I reply, "don't spam my twitter" Band replies, "Chill out psycho, we just thought you'd like the music" "Not a fan of spam-core stay away" "Well you mentioned warped tour, dickhead" "I mentioned I wasn't excited for it, way to read, dickhead" "Well if you like Warped Tour you must like our genre of music" "I don't like shitty music" Those aren't exact quotes but the gist. Seriously, I thought twitter would be safe from band spam. There's absolutely no profile information of any sorts, how do you assume someone would, "like your band" based on anything short of, "Anyone know any good (very specific sub genre of music)"? dante3000
so did you win? Let's be honest, no one wins. I know that...But I also have the inner mentality of a six year old.
kirbypuckett
Haha, nice. Some band said that to me once, but I just ignored it.
sonix
Thats hilarious.. what band was it?
dante3000
Some band named All Stations Down. I've gotten a lot of "Check out my band" things on myspace and that's cool, I have a profile with billions of bands listed but there's no way of knowing that on twitter and I suppose that's what irks me. mattstrike
If you really want to win the argument, block them and mark them as spam. Or report them to the list over at twitspam.
jesse
Eh give them a break. They're just trying to make a buck, it's your own fault for being on Twitter in the first place.

Right cause ambushing people is the right way to go about "making a buck."

The same argument can be made of anyone who does something involving the outside world. It's not really a theory I buy into.
iliketurtles
Eh give Hitler a break. He's just trying to take over the world, it's your own fault for being in Europe in the 1940's in the first place.

I'll be a reference if you buy me the rights to 1-900-mix-a-lot. That's the only number I'll put down as a reference though.
Just Another Tom
I am not on twitter because, to be honest, i don't really get it. Although for some reason i used to get an unusual amount of death metal bands add me on Myspace before i deleted my profile and i don't know why. There is nothing on my band, film, tv or interest list that would make them think i would like them (which 9.99 times out of 10 i don't). I have a few friends in my friends list who like death metal but that has to be a pretty weak reason to bombard me with invites.
