monk0nuggets
Today Metal Review named "The Ichthyologist" one of the 100 most important metal records of the last decade! Also, this release is taking waaaaaaaay longer than I had originally anticipated. I will have the 3rd set up tests in my hands tomorrow. If they sound awesome (which they f'n better), these should be shipping early January. I sincerely apologize for the delays, but I'd rather have it sound perfect than release an amazing record that sounds sub par.

cj
that's a pretty serious honor! i'm sure it feels good being part of this album getting the vinyl treatment it deserves!

monk0nuggets
Ugh. This has been the worst experience so far in putting out records. The plant can't seem to make a great sounding test. I find out more later today. I can't apologize enough about this, but I really don't see much point in approving a test that sounds mediocre. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out the new Vega Vinyl website. I finally have the ability to keep the news current. www.vegavinyl.com Also, preorders for the Rosetta/Year of No Light/East of the Wall split will be up within the next month or so. monk0nuggets
This fucking record. I'm waiting to hear back from the band. Should have word by Saturday. Looks like it will finally be getting pressed. At recordsofthedamned: Without a preorder of this record, it wouldn't have happened. If problems come up, shit gets pushed back. I could have released it months ago, but it would have sounded like shit.
celebdeath
i'm backing jordan here. tiny little indie labels need to use pre-orders to get the product pressed. as they grow and start having some decent funds coming in, they'll be in better financial positions to give the pre-order game away. it sucks waiting ages and yep, we've been sitting here for 6+ months waiting for the record, but if Vega didn't press this, maybe no-one would've and there'd be yet another release deserving of the vinyl treatment not getting said treatment. still doesn't top the year and 3 months i waited for Dysrhythmia's Barriers and Passages vinyl pre-order with Eyes of Sound. deafmx
look at Vinyl Collective, just had to wait 6 months to get Poison The Well "The Tropic Rot". it's not unheard of. you'd think now this record would get pressed, it was probably in line behind that one
circlingvultures
Jordan can you just walk mine over when it's ready? Wearing white gloves if possible. Thanks.
