brettall
I've been a big TLE fan for a long time and have struggled to find any real similar bands. Anyone know of any? Could be rockabilly or punkabilly or whatever, or just good guitar-based rock 'n roll. I prefer more edgy stuff (more contemporary), so no Link Wray recommendations, OK? Thanks in advance! xjustinxschwierx
Tiger Army the Hellbillys Viva Hate (ex Tiger Army / AFI / the Force) the Amazing Royal Crowns / the Amazing Crowns
sgoodcore
Maybe the Horrorpops or the Neckromantics? The only real similarity if the stand-up bass though. The Living End is pretty unique.
xjustinxschwierx
Nekromantix Horrorpops the Phenomonauts ...once you get into punk-rockisilly territory, just read the thank you lists and any of the bands with ridiculous names are probably what you're looking for
brettall
^ Yeah, that's what I mean. I'm not really into Horrorpops, Tiger Army, etc. It's just so hard to find anything similar! I guess bands like Wolfmother are maybe sorta similar in some ways...

blanketbyday
i saw these guys on tour with greenday sometime in 2002, they were great live but the frontman dude kept ripping these 10 minute solos and it was pretty clear that the rest of the band was getting fucking pissed..........the drummer yelled no at him once or twice and he just kept on trucking, dedication. Snaggle Von Swift
pretty sure they were recording in or around New Jersey not too long ago, was really hoping they'd do some small shows in the area, but I never heard of anything.
travis
Never got into this band, just know who they are and I know that one single that got massive radio play for a while. Where should I start? From what Ive read here it sounds like I should start with s/t?
mrc
S/T is pretty much a perfect album. i would love to have it on vinyl but that shit is always expensive.

I would definitely say start with the S/T, although my favorite track is "English Army" which is off the It's For Your Own Good EP
coldwind
No shit, probably the best live band in Australia..Seen them a bunch of times over the years even though i was never really 'huge' into them. From small rooms to festivals in front of 50 thousand and each time they put on one hell of a show (especially for a 3 piece)
suburbanargyle
I've seen them a few times, AMAZING live band. Last time was in San Antonio at the White Rabbit and it was shamefully empty, like there were maybe 40 people there. Dude is such a great guitarist.
