forgeagain
The splatter/smoke/halo thing is pretty played out at this point. I'd personally vote on plain colors and US pressing at this point for all 3 full lengths. Plenty of colors that would match the artwork without being ugly splatz. sewbr0
the only splatter color scheme that should ever be use on a bno record should be (blood) red splatter on any color. with that being said..... none of your opinions will be taken seriously. mrc
I dig the way the "planets" came out on the torche records. or the american nightmare Lp that has the "cross" or "arms" type look. or http://www.deadformat.net/press/820#photos

forgeagain
If someone did a "You Are My Canvas" EP then the blood splatter would match perfectly. However, I've yet to see a record that has red splatter that looked like anything like blood. Also, it'd be pretty pointless since all those songs are on Broken Bones with better recordings. thesupervillain
except for anatomy of a journey, but i guess there's a different version of that on make yourself sick.
forgeagain
The version of "The Anatomy of the Journey" that's on the You Are My Canvas EP is on the LP version of Broken Bones that we did. It's actually a better-mastered version of the same song that I put on a sampler CD I put out back in 2002 when BNO was gonna do a split 7" with Fordirelifesake. Clearly, that never happened. I like that version better than the Make Yourself Sick version, hence its inclusion. The other You Are... tracks are unnecessary because they're pretty much identical but with better recordings on Broken Bones.
thesupervillain
Oh really? Wow. I actually own one of those Broken Bones LP's that I ordered from VC, I've just never played it because I've listened to it so many times on CD that it's pretty far back in my record pile. I would still buy a You Are My Canvas record though.
forgeagain
Time to give that bad boy a spin! If I had infinite money I'd press You Are My Canvas on a 5xLP, all one-sided picture discs with etching on the back, and the fifth disc would be an interview with Billy Drago. swank
think about it black and with yellow splatter for trainwreck, clear with light blue splatter for make yourself sick, pink with black "smoke" for the s/t. possibilities are endless and they could all match the album art. so ya, virgil, if you do this, you can go ahead and ship me like one of each color when you get them since i just made you like a brief case full of money, dont worry though. i will pay shipping. Although it's kind of an obvious idea, I think I beat ya to it: http://vinylcollective.proboards79.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=1204751905&page=
