pjaicomo
It's the morning of my move. I basically packed a 16' uHaul and 2 cars alone yesterday (with some help from the girlfriend - who was still packing and doing laundry for us). I woke up this morning to realize that we have a lot more shit to pack still than I thought, and I have to leave it 2-3 hours. We still have to clean the place. FUCK. I can't wait to get to Chicago (on Wednesday). We have to stop off in Indiana to drop some shit off at home. I guess I just can't wait to drive away from here and be done packing. I also think I am sick, but I don't much have the time for that right now. Just complaining.
stranaspank
Did all that last weekend in hot as balls weather. We moved to a second floor apt so it was upstairs all day. And we couldn't get the couch in so we're gonna have to sell it, which sucks cause that couch was awesome
jawbroken
i know how you feel man, i just moved as well. granted it was 2 blocks away, but I had a 3 day gap between move out and move in. i had to to store all my shit like 20 min away because there was no where else. actually going out of state is that times 21365 cleaning is the worst though. dante3000
With all that stuff to do it's a good thing you're being so productive on VC.
troymess
I bought a house this summer and have been updating it (new carpet, flooring, painting, etc.) and have probably dropped over $1000 at home depot on stupid little things for the house. After all that, I move this coming weekend. NOT enthused AT ALL. Anyways, I sympathize.
jasonskanks
i am also looking to buy a house. but on the other hand am looking forward to moving. i hate the house we are currently in. it is WAY too small for us and the two kids.
destroyingthescene
Heh, I moved last week during the hottest day in the history of my city and it was complete Hell. The 7 massive boxes of records made me hate my hobby for a few days. The ensuing heat exhaustion also sucked hard. We're moved in now though and the place is great! sgoodcore
Last time I moved we hired people to do most of it. Sure it was $750 but it was well worth it.
Guest
i lie so hard to get out of helping my friends move. Hahah, seriously. Actually I don't mind helping, but only if everything is boxed, ready to be loaded. I hate standing around, waiting and/or asking to help pack their shit. kirbypuckett
I moved last weekend, it was pretty damn exhausting. My dad and his buddy along w/ my brother did most of the heavy stuff, but I moved from a 2nd story place on a hill, so like 3 flights of steps, to another place in a building on the 2nd floor. I realized that my g/f and I have waaaaaaaaay too much stuff!
