Interesting read.  Reading some of the linked articles.  Also LOL at anyone from Cracker wanting album sales, I have a Cracker CD and want my money back.

I download a shitload of FLACs, not bothering with mp3s anymore. Perks of being a What? member. Only way you can possibly support a serious addiction to music. If its really good and worthy of my purchase, I ALWAYS buy the vinyl (if available).

FLAC is the only way to go. While I do download FLAC (I archive it), I convert everything to v0 for listening purposes and on-the-go.

+1 for What. ;)

At this point I just throw the FLACs on my phone as needed, or stream them off the Google Music cloud.

Internet out here is less than mediocre. Softbank is a ripoff, but it's very limited out here as to which service you may choose from. Google Music Cloud is lovely, if your Internet speeds can keep up.

I don't bother uploading FLAC to my phone or iPod, as if I'm putting it on those devices, I'm probably using the built-in speakers or shit earbuds.
