minty
authentics. i know everyone wears them, but they rule for socklessness. i have like 7 pairs of vans though, they are the best! TNT4's are sweet too:
Guest
Right now is the first time in a long time I have not worn Old Schools. I found some weirdo design for cheap and am wearing those now. As soon as they get worn, I'm going back to Old Schools.

tanukichu
I'm torn between the slip-ons and the Authentics. Both are super comfy and I wear my Vans until they get holes in the bottom. And the fact that I can get them for less than 50 bucks helps.

monk0nuggets
I've owned 4 pairs of black suede slip ons in a row. They each last about a year, even with tough western NY winters! Love them.
skaddict
Authentics are the way to go. Right now i have a pair of eras, but they're not as comfortable and give the back of my heel blisters.

mattstrike
Like the style of the classic Vans (and my Cabs from my BMX days), but this company is right up there with American Apparel for me. Both companies get away with their atrocious practices because they've been successful at whitewashing the facts with hip adverts/branding – Vans in particular, since they brainwash a new 7th grade class of kids each year by playing host to one of the lamest traveling concerts ever. But hey, they're comfy and all my favorite bands wear them, so why should I care that the children who make them only make $0.14/hour??! youngwolves
i used to work for a vans store. i got sick of slipons and i didnt even wear them. just the whole slipon craze bothered me. white slipons and black and grey checkers especially. its all about authentics. only checkered ones i ever liked were the STL Blue and White checkered Authentics. So hot.
