mutinyzine
Just got the e-mail and went and got myself signed up. Looks user-friendly as hell and seems easier to manage than DeadFormat. I got the feeling I'm gonna like it a lot. www.limitedpressing.com

justindinealone
how is this comparing to something like DF for keeping a catalog of your collection?
geezfools
I started a thread in the community section of limitedpressing.com and most people said, I'll keep one here and on DF, but DF will always be my primary list and I agree. There are a couple things that I like more about one or the other, but DF wins out for actual list keeping duties...
nickmango
I think most people said that they would keep their primary list at their current site they were at. Whether it be DF or HYE or even GoogleDocs, but they would keep one at LP as well. It's what you feel comfortable with. We're not a tradelist site, that's not our goal here, we'll make tweaks and better that part of the site, and we'll make sure everyone knows about it when we do, but truthfully we're an auction/community site. The deal making system is great for record(records like receipts) keeping, making things legit, and getting feedback. And we would be totally happy with people finding trades to make on other sites and just using us as the place to make the deal, just to build a reputation somewhere neutral. I mean if you think about, you'll make a deal with anyone from any site if they have what you need and the trade is good for you. But if you don't normally go to that site, then you really have no idea who the person is, and they might not know who you are. They might not be giving you the best deal cause they have no idea of your reputation as a trader. So the deal making system on LP provides that neutral territory for everyone across the internet to gain feedback. Basically it's something that no one has ever done before, so we decided to do it. We're going to be doing that a lot with LP. We have another addition to the site that no ones ever tried before. Something that I'm really excited about. Shouldn't be much longer on that feature. I think November is going to be a very innovative month for LP. Thanks guys!

nickmango
There was a service interruption over at Rackspace last night, wasn't us. http://search.twitter.com/search?q=rackspace http://status.slicehost.com/2009/11/3/dfw-interruption-2 http://status.mosso.com/2009/11/cloud-sitesservers-dfwsat-degraded.html pretty crappy timing, but hey at least it wasn't our fault haha. fromdisaster
I haven't gotten my confirmation e-mail... it's been half an hour Confirmation emails look to be going out just fine. Lots of people confirming. Have you checked your spam folder? As we're a brand new domain our email reputation isn't fully vetted yet by all email providers and some emails may still get caught by spam filters. If the email doesn't appear in your spam folder, you can head to http://limitedpressing.com/account/confirm (make sure you're logged in) and click the button to have another confirmation delivered to you.
