tonyregret
Anyone catch this tour yet? It's Mustard Plug, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and The Toasters as headliners. I can't be the only old ska head on the board that isn't a little nostalgic over seeing these bands
xjustinxschwierx
yes! the Toasters were AWFUL but Mustard Plug was absolutely amazing and fun, VGS sounded good, but I wasn't watching them...but that band never plays bad...they're always fucking batshit crazy and energetic. tonyregret
Totally agree about The Toasters, they do not work as a 5 piece band at all. VGS and MP killed it though! I can't believe that more than a decade after ska died those bands can still get up there and kick ass.
flood
i was going to have a table at the mass and nj shows (with the fucking pilfers playing as well) but Chris came down with H1N1 after fest and that left me without anyone to drive with..... meh x 10000

jercjast
I wish this tour would come to my area of the south. Mustard Plug hasn't been here since 03. My street team membership is going to waste.

xlovecolouredx
i just watch a premium showing of 'rocksteady : the root of ska and reggae' documentary film at bangkok international film last night. it's great. about ska bands tour, i think it's hard to compose some ska punk/ ska third wave band play at here because too many people means too much invest cost per one concert.... flood
Justin you would have loved the New England Ska Fests in '97 and '98.... it was pretty much all the best bands off moon ska, plus the pilfers.. and they added Dropkick Murphys because there wasn't any all ages venues in Boston anymore... it was all outside at a ski resort.... twas amazing.
