Guest muggerfugger
some of the used records I've bought are kind of dusty and whatnot so I was wondering what the best way to clean them is. and now that my collection is getting bigger I want to know how I should store them. like should I stand them up or leave them flat? stack them or keep them separate? stuff like that. thanks! mattisr1984
never, ever stack your records (unless you want them to have ringwear). always keep them upright in sleeves.
moonbeams
Get AT534 by audio-technica. This formula can fix a lot of skips. Also get AT6086 with brush AT6012X these take off dust and kill static. Use this brush with AT534
sonix
just throw them in the dishwasher.
ws1fish
that may help to clean them but it doesn't help with storage. wet vinyl drying off on every available surface...

jhulud
can you actually clean them in a dishwasher? Before you get a shitstorm of sarcastic answers... No, you can't...that pic has been a running joke around here for a long time. I'm the culprit who started posting it whenever a "how to clean records" thread gets started or the question comes up. So now it's become a trend of sorts.
