kirbypuckett
I'm leaving for Chicago in a few hours. Headed there for new hire training for my new job. Anyone going to see Ben Folds on Wednesday or Passion Pit on Thursday? I'm staying at the Holiday Inn in Merchandise Mart, is there anything super close to there that I should check out? I won't have a car or anything. I've been to Chicago twice the last two years for Lolla, but I didn't really get to explore all that much. davehoffa
Reckless downtown is walking distance: 26 E. Madison
cactusbot
Yeah, but who wants to go to the Reckless in the Loop? Well worth it to walk the five blocks to the Blue line and go to the Milwaukee store.
forgeagain
Hey, they're trying down there. Nobody ever brings stuff to trade in because hell, who wants to lug a box of LPs downtown on the train or pay $20 to park in a nearby lot for 45 minutes? I did just trade a bunch of obscure 60s/70s Chicago jazz stuff in there that I garbage-picked. BIG BUCKS!
lechevre
I actually love the Reckless in the loop because I can stop by on the way to see my Fiancee and usually pick her up something.
thedavidescapeplan
I support the Reckless in the loop. I can walk there on my lunch break or if I get out of class early. I've made some incredible finds there, like the S/T Kid Dynamite record on red for under $20!
xjustinxschwierx
Aaron is currently sleeping on my floor with a bunch of hipster kids (that are really nice)
