Guest Admin
Today we bring you Doug Wurzer, our vinyl collector of the day. Doug lives in Calgary and has amassed quite the record collection. In addition to collecting, he runs the hardcore vinyl collecting blog, We Will Bury You. Doug took the time to answer our questions about why he collects vinyl, his thoughts on variants, his most prized possession, records he would kill to own, the most he ever spent for a record, and more. That last question (the most he ever spent for a record), I am pretty certain that Doug's answer is the most I have ever heard someone spending on a record. Thanks Doug for taking the time to answer our questions. You, too, can answer our questions and submit them for a future Vinyl Collector of the Day feature. You can find the questions here http://www.vinylcollective.com/2010/06/10/be-our-next-vinyl-collector-of-the-day-new-questions-added/ Please click the link to read more about Doug http://www.vinylcollective.com/2010/06/30/vinyl-collector-of-the-day-doug-wurzer/

shauncitrus
Doug's record collection once gave me an awkward boner. It is a sight to behold in person (I might be talking about his records, or i might be talking about my boner).

benchwarmer
good one! really enjoy his blog. also this quote is great: “Don’t buy music on a format that you can record at home. It becomes disposable.”
scotterson
also this quote is great: “Don’t buy music on a format that you can record at home. It becomes disposable.” I especially like the part after that: I’m sure he basically meant cassettes suck, but I like to think he predicted the downfall of the cd a decade before they were invented. My dad is awesome.
