Sick, I promote this festival yearly. I got a weekend pass, but could only make it Saturday because I had a lot of homework to do. I'll just say Cap'n Jazz was fucking amazing and shame on whoever missed this that was within 200 miles. GWAR was killer toooooo

i'm actually a little happy i can't view those at work. because i don't want to hear about how awesome they were. they would have pretty much been the only reason i wanted to go, and couldn't see myself spending that much for it.

damn. jealous. i would have gone to this solely for Descendents. i haven't seen them in like 13 years. the setlist was GREAT. lucky bastards.

I would have been jealous too. Instead I made my way up front through the chaos only to b used as a launching ramp several times. But it was worth it. I was a kid again. I normally stay in back during sets and watch from afar but for them I made an exception and enjoyed every minute of it.

I was pretty up close for the descendents, then shit got crazy. Being in a wave of people and getting taken off my feet was fun, but i managed to make my way back so i could watch the band.

Was awesome.

Highlights include High On Fire, FUCKING FLOOR TWICE IN ONE DAY, Gwar, Municipal Waste's pit, Strike Anywhere, the Descendents were bad-ass. Polka-dancing in a metal vest to Weird Al's newest polka your eyes out. And seeing the singer from Valient Thorr drunk as hell singing karaoke at red 7. all in all a fucking blast.

hanging out with bad-ass people too, Amber, Mike D, Marty, Santiago. fucking amazing weekend and a blast.

fun days indeed. i think funfunfunfest is the only tolerable outdoor festival i actually enjoy. it's not too big and you can make your way to the front if you feel inclined. i know i did.
