mayt Posted September 23, 2010 Share Posted September 23, 2010 I didn't hate Bioshock 2, but it certainly wasn't great (seriously no shortage of items or ammo in that game = no challenge) I think since the original team is on this and there's a new setting/story it has potential. I hope that the story will be as good as the first. I wasn't super bummed about Bioshock 2, but it just kinda felt like the same game. I feel like this one changes everything. kidamnesiac Posted September 23, 2010 Share Posted September 23, 2010 I really wish they would find a good way to continue the story of the first Bioshock and quit doing all this alternate stuff. Andrew Ryan and/or Frank Fontaine need to have somehow survived Rapture and be starting some new craziness. That said, I haven't started Bioshock 2 yet. So maybe I've spoken too soon. But from what I understand of the story so far, it doesn't include Ryan or Fontaine. Also, I'm stoked for Bioshock in the sky. New engine looks gorgeous. Even playing BS2 on the hardest difficulty I found myself getting maxed out on items/ammo/money to the point where I would just try to waste as much of anything I possibly could just to keep buying things. It wasn't challenging at all. That combined with a lackluster story (at least compared to the original) I just felt like I was done with the game after playing through it twice. I did try to play it online but didn't really get into it at all. I kind of feel like this "bioshock but up in the air" bullshit will be just as unfullfilling. play the original. it's far superior.
