best game. i still play II and 3 for windows 95. once in awhile i'll come across that flash based OG version and play a little.

find a buffalo stampede, cover the field in carcasses. it would always say "you can only carry blah blah back to the wagon" and a glitch in II would just give you all of it. pawn that shit off for CASH MONEY.

i might need to bust this game out again very soon.

I had a half-assed "computer class" in elementary school where we mostly played Qwerty and Oregon Trail.

My favorite part was writing swear words on my tombstone for the next person to see.

I loved this game. We'd play this in my grade school "computer class" and we would all compete to see who could beat the game first. It's still really funny for me to think about a room full of kids yelling "I DIED FROM TYPHOID FEVER!"

My favorite part of the game was right at the end when you had to navigate the river. Not running into rocks was difficult at times. Also, I would always get pissed during the hunting expeditions because there was a limit on how much meat you could bring back with you. WELL WHAT IF I JUST SHOT 10 BEARS? CAN'T THE WAGON JUST COME GET THEM? GOSH!!!
