The VPI? Nope - got it on Audiogon for $325, 8 months old and (the guy said) lightly used. I have to say, it look brand new - not a fingerprint or ding anywhere.

thats awesome. so when can i bring my records over? haha

Any time you want! Serious.

Cleaning (after a few practice runs and experimenting w/ different fluids/brushes) is actually pretty fun – especially the listening afterward. My "Meet The Beatles" (second press, stereo, no producer credit) that I got from my mom was already in great shape, considering the age and what I can only imagine her handling of it might have been. After a good scrub? Sounds fucking brilliant!! As in: like listening to it for the first time!

if you don't mind me asking, did the narnia stuff set you back much? those would be pretty cool to own, unless i'd be looking at an arm and a leg to find my own copies.

No, they was pretty cheap. Ended up being about $6 each. Although, if you check some used bookstores, you could probably find them cheaper. They're obviously abridged versions, 30-33 minutes per side. They're from 1981 and have this style artwork: http://i3.tinypic.com/4hms8av.jpg

I'll throw up a pic in the collections thread tonight.

Dischord Order:

Fugazi– Steady Diet of Nothing, Repeater (remasters)

Q and Not U– No Kill No Beep Beep, Different Damage (color vinyl remasters)

Rites of Spring– End on End (remaster)

Dag Nasty– Can I Say (remaster)

+ Basla threw in a CD–EP of Georgie James/ John Davis' (Q and Not U) new band) – pretty good, melodic, pop, but with a spicy aftertaste - I like.

Sleeve Town:

Audiophile DisKeeper Sleeves!

Ahhh, time to fire up the VPI and clean some fucking LPs!
