papashawn
So I want to do a record jacket with a custom die cut cover. I've seen this done before, notably on Coalesce's 10th Anniversary edition of Functioning On Impatience, where the rib bones were cut out. http://www.bluecollardistro.com/coalesce/product_info.php?products_id=2714&cPath=32_291&store= I can't seem to find any companies that offer this on their sites. I know it can be done, and I'd like to know how much it would cost to see if its worth pursuing or not. Any help?
geezfools
iheartu does this, well I know eric did it on a 7", so you may want to get in touch with him. I don;t know what you have in mind, so it may be something he can or can't do. May also want to email Var at no idea since the hot water music live jackets have some die cutting and maybe he can point you in the right direction
vinyljunkie
depending on how much you are doing and the sizes and stuff, you could just go to office depot, or look online and get one of those die-cut machines for him. sort of like a cricut

jumpstartrecords
call walt from imprint. the can have it done. you won't find it listed on anyone's website, especially pricing because it's all custom work and the cost varies. get in touch with imprint and walt will take care of you. http://www.iloveimprint.com

papashawn
Thanks Guys. I think I had emailed Walt when I first came up with this idea, but didn't hear back from him. I used imprint for my first release, they were great to work with. I didn't realize how the die cutting process works, having to create the die, etc. I'll check w/ walt and possibly iheartu. xjustinxschwierx
Yeah, pretty much any decent printing place can have a die ordered, but look into Imprint, they're the best...but yeah also look into finding a local letterpress shop.
