Anyone listen with headphones?

I'd love to pick up some new headphones for my setup and was wondering what you guys use? I've been looking at some Sennheiser and Audio Techinica models. Does anyone have a preference?

i have bose quiet comfort II's, never really tried much else but not a fan of earbuds at all. i use a shitty old pair of sonys when i dont have batteries for the bose.

that's what i use (lower end of Senns, but still excellent quality), had them for four years, never had a problem with them, and i annhilate headphones usually. same with my Senn earbuds. highly recommended.

I've got Grado SR-60s. They're good headphones sound-wise, but they hurt my head after awhile.

Definitely go Grado. I have the SR-80s and love them.

Vintage Pioneer headphones. The cool thing is these were my dad's so I grew up listening to music on them.

I can echo this recommendation for Beyerdynamic. I use DT990 Pro's and they rule.

The Beyerdynamics 770s are great headphones. My only "thing" with them is that they are very bass heavy. It's a very smooth bass, but if you are listening to a record that is naturally bass heavy, it can sometimes be too much. Thats my opinion at least. Still great headphones though, and comfortable as well. I also have the Audio-Technica ATH-M50s, these also sound great and are a little cheaper than the Beyers.

I have a pair of beats by dre solo. they are without a doubt expensive, but i managed to snag them on a crazy sale last holiday season combined with some gift cards. you are of course paying for the name, but they sound unreal.

was able to test these a few days ago in a store... seriously incredible sound. i really wish they wouldnt be 200+ euro here.

I have Sennheiser HD-280 PRO. They have an amazing sound, frequency range, and can be worn for a while without discomfort!

grados have never hurt my head. they're my favorite, but the super-open ear on them doesn't do it for a lot of people.

I looked at these too but haven't heard them yet. I was wondering if they were built for listening to stuff with extra deep low end? I'm not looking for extra bass in the mix necessarily. But I will check them out.

i tried them once, right when they first came out (perhaps they have improved since then), but they were way too heavy with the low end.
