Darrell, what kind of bass amp do you use?

ive got a vintage ampeg 4x10. thing is a beast and a half for its size. i use an ampeg B2r head, which i believe is a 350watter.

what you rockin'?

I don't own a bass amp currently, but eventually I'm going to get an Ampeg 8x10 cab and either a 70's silverface Ampeg tube head or one of the reissues:

hmmm... for around that price, that's a tough call. if you want something that will be decent for home, and decent for possible band use too. i suggest a fender pro junior, it's a 1x10 combo, sounds great at low volumes, but can also get pretty loud. also in that general range is the blackheart 1x12 combo, it's only 5 watts, but sounds totally killer. you'd never get clean volume at band levels though. if you're thinking a LOUD band is in your future, peavey makes some decent combos for right around 400 dollars, the valve king and the windsor, or keep an eye out for a used fender hot rod deluxe, they can usually had for right around 400.
