petepete
I'm pretty sure that the second pressing of Clarity was remastered. Does anyone have any insight into whether it sounds better than the original pressing? Are they really similar? At these prices, I can obvi only save up for one.... almightyseancore
unhelpful helper here. i own the new one, but i've never heard the original. i also don't know these "prices" because i preordered it when it they announced it. it was like $30 i think, and came with a tshrit. i can tell you that it sounds amazing. but i only have the cd to compare it to. blanketbyday
I know that the Reissue is a record I would hold as an example for why people buy/collect vinyl. It sounds perfect and is wonderfully put together.
jonnyh85
Only have the re-issue but the sound quality is awesome, an album that definately deserved the deluxe treatment!
robx
yo, this didn't come out on vinyl through Capitol. It wasn't on vinyl till late 2008/early 2009. I might be wrong about this, but when they did that repress in 2009 it was talked about as the "first time on vinyl".
spoonbill
vinyl was done by big wheel recreation when the record first came out.
pablod85
I had a copy of each version and I ended up selling my copy on Big Wheel Recreation because of surface noise. I like more the artwork of the repress too.
northernfailure
I have the recent re-pressing and it sounds fucking great. I got it for $30 on the Clarity anniversary tour. A friend of mine paid $50 or so for the original pressing a few years ago, and though I haven't listened to both copies back to back, I think the new one sounds better. The only downside is the bonus tracks... I fucking hate when bonus tracks are thrown right in the middle of an album that stands on its own just fine. Daiei
For some reason the reissue is a lot harder to find than the original. I don't know if that says anything though. Glad I own a reissue, one of my favorite records
