Jack White - Blunderbuss audio problems?

1. Going from the first track into Sixteen Saltines there is a shorter intro than the 7' inch and it skips a little, either that or the intro is the same and it skips A LOT. (can't really tell but it seems like the intro is shorter)

2. Also, this record is REALLY quiet on my system. I have the volume a quarter higher than I normally do.

I'm not bitching or anything because I love this album, just wondering if anyone else's is like this.

No issues on mine. a little quieter than normal but only about 1/10 on my system

Yup, mine skips at the beginning of Sixteen Saltines too...I returned it and my second copy skipped also. Should I return it again?

Fuck yeah, this album is amazing. I cleaned it at first and it was still skipping, but after a few spins it cleared up so who knows.

Some of those cheap ass record players dont even have a tone arm weight and would skip on the slightest thing

i tried three and it helps a little. so i guess ill do that instead of returning it.

I've adjusted the tone arm weight and it still skips. In the same spot every time, at the beginning of Sixteen Saltines.

I just think of some college kid playing it on a 50 dollar crosley through 25 dollar speakers saying it sounds bad, etc

Spinning my copy for the first time. Missing Pieces was fine. But when Sixteen Saltines kicked in the mix was crazy loud. Then during Forever At 21, about a minute in, the audio went in and out 5-6 times before balancing out again. Love the album though.
