krisakarcher
Hey so my buddy bought JEWS Futures LP form some guy on ebay. Out of japan if that matters. and when he got it the first record has side B on both sides. The second has side C and the etched D side. but there is no side A. Has this happened to anyone? and do you think this is an error or a bootleg of some sort. every thing looks legit and the barcode matches the one on discogs. also the etching on the first record, (the tiny lettering on the outside of the label say B on both sides as well. llamason56
Strange there. If that wasn't mentioned in the listing I would see if your friend can get his money back
krisakarcher
yea the seller said he would refund the money. but i was just wondering how this could have possibly happened. haha. maybe its 1/1 lol. sending back to japan seems pretty daunting though. problemchild
I would keep it and look for more info on it! Have you tried contacting the record label? You might have something pretty cool there. Well, that or you have a nicely packaged bootleg...
chiefwahoo
I imagine it's just an error. These things happen from time to time.

synapsistapped
I recently bought the first Run-D.M.C. record and the B side was pressed on both sides (no "Rock Box" :-/). Also, my copy of Sky Blue Sky by Wilco came with duplicate A/B records and no C/D record. Shit happens.

Normally when you get a misspacked record if you contact the label they'll send you a copy of the sides you didn't get. Happened with Ryan Adam's Heartbreaker reissue. Completely wrong artist pressed on the C/D side. Just emailed em and got a replacement in a few days. Most places will work with you if they have enough to
dustin415
Did he just buy that? I saw a Futures go up, shipped from Japan, and was seriously contemplating buying it. If this is it, I'm happy I did not.
kurt
I am sure you can find a JEW collector who would trade you for a regular pressing of this record or buy it for more than you paid. For a huge band like this getting an error pressing is NOT a bad thing.
hipsterasfolk
Flip that shizz bro! /1 Mistake press!
timbrh2001
Flip that shizz bro! /1 Mistake press! Yeah people pay for those things for some reason. I'd flip it, take that money and buy a new one and pocket the rest of the cash. That way everybody is happy.
