ronniegwilliams
A little too 18 Visions for me, but kudos for putting out something you dig. The recording/mix sounds really good.

wronghometown
Post Vanity bro, POST VANITY haha i had a reverse warm up to 18v.. i saw them twice in high school and HATED it.. i was like "dad!! come pick me up now- this shit sucks and their lights are giving me a seizure." then saw them at warped tour and laughed at how terrible it was and kept on walking to see hopesfall or something. fast forward like 8 years and i finally listened to obsession first, and then self-titled, i'm strangely WAY into those records (even the papa roachy leanings of st). go figure. back to the cc record, check out "dirt becomes mud" on www.gluehc.com tomorrow i'd like to pursue more of that rock sound and get back to better mixing next time. i never want to mix outside a studio again. mixing via emails/phone was an awful idea. ronniegwilliams
wronghometown, do yourself a favor and listen to Girlfight, these guys are doing the aggressive rock and roll thing the right way, meaning: aggressive, dirty, fast, loud, and most importantly- staying clear of cliche lyrics revolving around abstract b.s. about girls (sorry if you're the lyricist of your band, but from what I heard from your jams there was a little too 18V/ETID influenced). http://girlfight.bandcamp.com/album/defamate-ep
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
girlfight is from here! nice guys, great band saw 18V a lot in the late 90's... awful then, awful-er when they started getting pretty

I got to see them when they came through Wichita, my buddy Matt played bass for Waxeater while they toured together.
kurtz
Yeah, this reminds me of later 18V too. Not into it. The only time I saw 18V was right before Obsession came out. I was stoked to see them because I love their earlier stuff. Was so disappointed when almost their whole set was new shit.
