Question about "retail exclusive".

I see some speculation in the thread that it will be sold at Hot Topic, but is that the only retail outlet, or will some go to distros/one stops for local record stores to stock? I go through my local record store to get most of my new vinyl and I think i'll like the army green color best, but I also don't want to miss out on anything due to lack of info.

Thanks!

Fuck...So sad about that.....And hot topic has some of the most expensive shipping rates from usa to europe....When i bought the first two Deftones records it was very expensive for me....

Hot Topic will receive a variety of colors on this like Slip. They may have some army green. HOWEVER the army green 'retail' will be going to our distro so it will be available through a variety of retailers such as your local brick and mortar, Amazon, Soundstage etc... So anyone carrying this who is not us will have the army green.

I got 'Slip' in the red-swirl and 'Manic Compression' in green-swirl.I was more impressed with the red; the green was a little dark and you gotta be in a good amount of light to really see it well.Did anyone else get both albums in green-swirl and do they look the same?

It's dark green/black to match the album artwork. The green Slip is much brighter but it's also a green and yellow swirl. So they don't look alike.

that's right- green/yellow....

Noticed that too, I think it's because of the artwork the label supplied to them, because that's the track listing/album side listing on the original pressing.

makes sense...

I ripped this record about a week ago. Slip was such a great pressing I didn't need to tweak anything so i wanted to see how good Manic Compression was. This was the first record i actually had to turn the levels down to keep it from bleeding over. I forgot just how 'loud' this album was. The pressing did not disappoint. It kept me busy for a few hours trying to get the EQ just right. Sounds great in the car and at the office now!
