Side A Plays Fine, Side B Skips

Recommended Posts

Each side of a record is cut from a separate lacquer (assuming the material is different) so one side playing fine doesn't have any bearing on the other. An infinite amount of problems can cause this ranging from a literal physical deformity on the stamper (used to create each record) or a fixable imperfection on your copy such as dirt, dust, or something like that, or an issue with your turntable, usually an insufficient amount of weight on your tone arm.

Since you're playing one side fine on the same turntable, its more likely that the bad side is dirty, or simply fucked. This is why label's get test pressings, and in many cases imperfections are ignored and approved anyway.

I hope this was a real question and that I somehow helped and did not feel the troll.
