shenanigans
I've been informed that eBay is actually 10% + $0.40. The ~14% is a number I've determined from the sales I've done through eBay, once eBay and Paypal both take their share. Discogs is 8% as listed in their terms of agreement. eBay may have upped to 10% I don't think the $0.40 is because they also take 10% of your shipping. I don't know if discogs takes any of your shipping or not. Either way though if you're going to factor in the 3% paypal for ebay you should change discogs to 11%
Ryan8765
In regards to the exchange for goods sectionI think all responsible sellers should factor in the fees associated with selling their records. I don't think it should be put on the buyers at all. If I choose to sell a record I will tell you what I want for it and what paypal deducts is my responsibility.I'm not going to make the buyer pay my fees. If they do then that is nice, but I certainly do not consider it rude. Maybe my brain isn't working right now, but I read that section three times and that is my understanding of it. "$26, or $25 gifted" is a pretty common request. Youinreverse
burdenx
Eh, people can ask for whatever they want for their records. Doesn't mean they'll get it and nobody is under any obligation to pay it.
Derek™
True. But if the item is still in stock and they're asking for triple the price, then we're equally allowed to ridicule them and otherwise spoil their sale (and reputation).
