PO Pure X - Angel (4/1/14)

Recommended Posts

Well one year after CUTS they're back!
I've not seen any information regarding the pressing of this. As all their previous stuff has come out on some sort of coloured/limited edition gear.

But here is the new single 'Starlight'  https://soundcloud.com/fatpossum/pure-x-starlight/s-TWY5P

And here is the pre-order page http://www.fatpossum.com/products/angel

The thing about their previous releases and the variants argument (which I love) is that they were on a totally different record label...

I'm hoping you're right though.

What records in the past has Fat Possum released as colored or anything fancy like that?

You can read through their whole discography on Discogs

Recently, they've done some Urban Outfitters exclusives on colored wax, and a few other things here and there.

Great label, though sort of a weird fit for Pure X imho.

Loved the last Pure X LP and will give this a listen too, I'm sure.

I've never seen a colored variant on a mail order! If it was, the above poster said was through a store exclusive or something. Fat Possum is a pretty straight forward label. They don't mess around too much with gimmicks! I like gimmicks here or there of course, but only thing they ever did was the YUCK 7" with art book! I picked that up because that album rules!

to chime in on the discussion. Their debut was good, second album amazing, this is much more "pop" sounding….still good (hopefully)..but their "rawness" seems to have vanished :(
