hypa hypa is such a banger, that video has gone insanely viral. i had never heard of them before seeing that.

i went back and listened to their older stuff based on that track and none of it very good 🤷‍♂️

love/hate is ok but yes agree hypa hypa is such a catchy tune

  2. First Paragraph scares me .. "On the new record, frontwoman, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Lynn Gunn steps into a new chapter, as she owns her role as PVRIS’ leader and SOLE ARCHITECT" soooooo im guessing Alex and Brian are now just session musicians ??? kinda reminds me of the Paramore saga .. sad really ...

  3. Cool Life self-titled 2xLP - Available now and only for charity!

     https://www.mindovermatterrecords.com/MOM057

Cool Life is a supergroup composed of members of Foxy Shazam, The Skulx and Cadaver Dogs and this album features guest appearances from every notable artist in the Cincinnati area, including Eric Nally, the vocalist from Foxy Shazam!  Spearheaded by Cole Walsh-Davis, this album took several years of writing and composing before we got our dirty little hands on it here at MOMR and gave it the DIY vinyl treatment.  Made entirely by hand, this album layout harkens back to the early days of Mind Over Matter and is backed with tons of love and passion from all involved.

For this release, we are proud to announce that every penny from every sale will go toward the global cause of helping to stomp out racial injustice in America. Not just the profits, but the entire purchase price of every copy of this release will be split evenly between the NAACP Legal Defense & Education Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, and Campaign Zero.

This release is limited to only 110 total copies, 55 of each variant.

If you aren't able (or interested) in a vinyl version of this release but still want to contribute, all of the digital sales from Bandcamp for Cool Life will also be donated to the same causes, and those are set up as "pay what you can."

This is an easy way for you to get involved if you're interested...and we don't think it's hyperbole to say that every single person on this planet should be interested in the well-being of others.

I super love this album when I was 15 years old in 2003. I even recorded the MV for Nil By Mouth and Room To Breathe on VHS, and watch it repeatedly haha.

Oh well the record must be already sold out by now. Hopefully it'll be available outside of ANZ with a repress, or discogs it is.

HAHAHAHA SAME!!!! i really hope you can find a copy also hoping for a ETS press

You are such a gem! Thank you so much. All apologies for any lingering confusion on my part, but just to clarify: that set of speakers would be compatible AND I would seemingly need to purchase a separate  double RCA cord?

Would I for someone reason need to purchase a separate amp? Sorry if that sounds ridiculous, as well, but I read a review for the turntable (after having purchased it) that made me think that I might.

no use whats in the box.. no need to buy an rca cable (unless you want to use an AUX input to the speakers for a phone or something else that would need an AUX input)

also no definitely no amp needed because the speakers are powered (meaning it has a built in amp :) ) then only thing the speakers dont have is a phono pre amp (which is that switch on the record player ) ...

    Hey, y'all.

I hope this message finds you all doing well during these unprecedented times. I am doing well and have decided to attempt to start record collecting. Here's to hoping I have what it takes. Off to a rough start so far. I purchased a turntable off of Amazon and didn't even realize, like a total nincompoop, that it came without built in speakers. So, I'm here hoping that I could post the link to the turntable I purchased and then a link to a possible speaker purchase that I intend to make and see if someone would be kind enough to tell me if they'll be compatible and what additional equipment I might need, please.

So, here's the turntable I bought:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N3XJ66N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here are the speakers I'm currently considering:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016P9HJIA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A23AS8PFN4IRUQ&psc=1

Would they be compatible and, if so, would I need any additional equipment like a double RCA cable or something similar?

Thank you all in advance for the help. I appreciate you endlessly.

    -Skye Lee

yes compatible .. just make sure the record player PHONO switch is on .. rca from record player to speakers (red to red, white to white OR use the supplied rca to 3.5 with the record player) ... and done  ... happy listening
