    This album has always bored me compared to gold, cold roses, st, jackonsville, 29

    what is the appeal to m a ny of you on this one versus some of his other releases

     

    I would rate it higher than 29 and S/T for sure, and on par with the others as well. It has arguably his best song lyrically ("Oh My Sweet Carolina"), plus other great Americana/Alt. Country tracks like Come Pick Me Up, To Be Young, My Winding Wheel, Bartering Lines, etc. I find it hard to believe that someone who likes Gold, Cold Roses, and Jacksonville wouldn't like Heartbreaker.

    Per Noah's Twitter account, only 300 copies of the black and gold colored vinyl of Carry the Ghost are being pressed and are going fast. Would anyone be willing to pick me up a copy of the colored version from Dualtone's store now and then I will pay you back on 5/22? Please PM me if interested.  Nevermind, colored version is sold out.

    Yes, and now I'm being told that it's not sold anymore and fuck you basically...such bullshit service

    From someone else on an RA message board that had the same issue:

     

    "I chatted online with Amazon customer service. They said it was out of stock so offered a refund. I said that was unacceptable and then they gave me the option of purchasing a new copy from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. Amazon refunded my original purchase and then issued me an Amazon credit for the cost of shipping the new one + the price difference between my original order and my order from the 3rd party seller."

    I emailed Shorebird on 5/1 and got a response almost immediately; they said refunds should go out by the end of this week. So if it doesn't come through by then, I'll just be sending another request (because besides legal recourse that's out of my reach, I'm pretty sure we've got nothing).

     

    I wonder if it is just an automatic response since I got one saying the same thing right after emailing

     

    I e-mailed David on 5/1 as well but did not receive a response.

    Artworks looks kinda like the Trouble Will Find Me artwork so maybe a b-side. REALLY digging it. Has this band ever done something wrong?

     

    Correct. From an e-mail from the band's mailing list I just received:

    "The song was recorded during the Trouble Will Find Me Sessions and Sharon van Etten provides guest vocals."
