Sorry, I thought the "haha" implied it was a joke. I'm a rock scientist anyways, no need for biology anymore.
Funny, I always thought that profession was called geologist.

How is a CD or digital download pointless? I think all records should at least come with a digital download...
He/she said the CD is pointless if the record also includes a digital download. And, not or.

Hopefully he'll forgive me for speaking for him, but another user on here (tonyfranciosa) also has a MH 2.2 and upgraded from the Tracker cart to the Audio-Technica 440MLa cart in part do to it's exceptional tracking and lack of IGD.

This is just a b-sides collection from the Killed or Cured and At the Foot of My Rival era/time period, right?
-
I actually only just found this out myself. The guy who handles our ordering/distribution neglected to tell me this :\
Also, I had sipmats done up for this year! I'll have them on tour and they'll be up in the webstore soon. They're badass looking: http://instagram.com/p/VpAm_6C5qa/
Those slipmats are pretty sweet, will try to pick one up at the Lawrence show. Will there be a poster for this tour as well? And what vinyl is with you/available at the merch table?

So outside of/besides the 7", is there any difference between the deluxe LP and the regular LP? e.g. 180-gram, different color, more tracks, etc?
I didn't see this stated anywhere when the PO was announced/went live, but according to Amazon and Insound the deluxe LP is on 180-gram clear vinyl.

I bought my first system from my local audio/hifi store a couple months ago:
- Music Hall MMF 2.2
- Yamaha CR-440 receiver (used)
- Grado SR225i headphones
Also, I ordered the Music Hall acrylic platter a couple weeks ago and am waiting for it to come in.
-
Now available on Insound.com for $30 plus shipping.
-
To further prove that Daytrotter's "we will only press as many as we receive pre-orders for" statement is false advertising BS, this split (and the White Denim / Maps & Atlases one) are available on Insound for $30 plus shipping.

So this album was released today and it's as great as I had hoped...
The deluxe iTunes version has 3 bonus tracks - all really good as well, and two tour documentary videos.
The vinyl is delayed until March 5th I believe...
There is a deluxe CD version that includes the 3 bonus tracks and a DVD with the two tour documentary videos as well.

Were there separate UK/EU and US presses of this? If so, are there any differences between the two?
Discogs makes it sound like the UK press is yellow with black streaks/splatter but not 180g while the US press is black with yellow splatter and 180g but not sure how accurate that info actually is.

I hated that felt mat so much that I bought the Music Hall Mat. I found it for $35 shipped and it's fantastic. No static and it never gets picked up with the record.
I'm not going to be buying an acrylic platter for a while but it's nice to know that it's worth it.
Where did you find the Music Hall mat (I assume the cork mat) for $35?
-
Thanks! I'll have to do some research.
Acrylic platter? Worth it?
I haven't actually got it yet, I just ordered it last week.
-
You might also see if any of the audio stores in your area are Pro-Ject dealers and can order them for cheaper than can be found online and have them shipped to the store, which would save you on shipping costs. For example, my local audio store is a Music Hall dealer and I was able to get the Music Hall acrylic platter for $100 (usually found online for $120-$130) with no shipping charge.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone who has complaints against Daytrotter, but FYI they are no longer selling Vols. 1-5 individually in their store, but only as a complete set.

No, the carbon does NOT have the VTA adjustment. Good catch. Are the feet on the MH2.2 adjustable height? Not sure if adjustable feet and VTA justify $100 but good to know the differences.
If you can live with the black finish/color (instead of white or red) on the Music Hall 2.2, it's just a $50 difference.
-
Getting 20% off a Music Hall isn't bad. I'm just not sure why they are so expensive in the first place. I think they have better feet than the Carbon, but I think that's it.
Can you adjust VTA on the Carbon like you can on the Music Hall 2.2?
-
That's a heck of a deal on the Music Hall 2.2 and 5.1 tables.

I ordered this because it was a dollar.
Might want to remove the link in your original post.

Anyone in the US get their pre-order yet? Or at least get a shipping notice?
