Andrew Bird is releasing a new EP titled "I Want to See Pulaski at Night", featuring the title track plus 6 instrumental tracks. The vinyl appears to just be on standard black, with no variant or other bonuses for pre-ordering.
 
I Want to See Pulaski at Night vinyl includes digital download on release date and download card inside of packaging. Digital download arrives on release day (11/12), vinyl ships week of 12/16.

It means how the hell can't you like most of those. Mikal Cronin's album is easily one of the best of the year, Superchunk, The Mountain Goats, and Destroyer have been around forever and have been great for a long, long time. And those are just the ones I listen to actually.

 

I do like The Mountain Goats and Mikal Cronin as well, but haven't heard enough of the others to really say one way or another and therefore couldn't justify dropping $125 on something I may not like/listen to 75% of.

Same here, and I'm so excited to finally be able to hear my favorite Josh song ("Temptation of Adam") on vinyl!

 

I know it's less than a minute long and not really a "song" but I was somewhat surprised not to see "Spot In My Heart" on the tracklist for the bonus LP, since the other three songs included on the bonus EP ("Wildfires", "Naked As A Window", and "Labelship Down") that was available when the album was originally released on CD are included.

I'm praying my local store will get this in today. They typically have new releases out the Thursday or Friday before the street date.

 

How is that allowed? I would think they might get in trouble for that. Plus, wouldn't that screw up "release week" sales numbers?

So I placed a 1-2 week backordered order on Oct 7th, which means it should have cancelled yesterday but it didn't. I checked the order status today and it's still listed as backordered. Anyone else seen anything like this? Very weird.

 

I know Tycho - Dive was mistakenly listed as being a 1-2 week backorder (before auto-cancelling) when it was really a 2-4 week backorder (before auto-cancelling), so you may have found another record like that.

Ha, well I just now got the regular "A Discount Is Enclosed Because Your Recent Order Was Canceled" e-mail with a $5 promotional code that expires in a month. This one is definitely for the order that cancelled on Monday‏ because it contains the same order number. So now I have no idea what/why I got the $5 "bonus reward certficate" for yesterday, since it doesn't contain/reference an order number.
