I only like a few of the bands on this label so won't be signing up, but if they release anything from Andrew Bird and someone doesn't want it, please hit me up.
-
For major label releases these days I usually just import from Amazon UK unless I know it was pressed at A+R in Dallas, TX, QRP in Salinas, KC or RTI in California. My copy of Mellon Collie was fine, but I did think it strange to go that far into the deadwax on SIDE A instead of just cutting a little more quietly and using narrower grooves. Stan Getz did a great job with all the other Pumpkins titles.
QRP is in Salina, KS.

Also found this:
That is the RSD version with the (one of) 4 different art prints.
-
-
the first pressing just consists of test pressings i believe. it never went further into production.
Discogs appears to disagree with you.
-
So I am guessing the only difference will be the limited cover art prints that come with the RSD version! Everything will probably b the same!
The vinyl weights might be different as well, e.g. 180g for RSD version and 140g for the regular version.

Wonder if there will be a colored variant for this like most recent Secretly Canadian releases. Either way, will be picking this up.

Found more details on MOF for RSD here: http://www.vvinyl.com/v/frightened-rabbit-midnight-organ-fight/3528
Based on the above and the ad dawhizz saw in Magnet, I'm starting to think there is going to be a special limited "RSD Edition" of MOF available, and then regular editions of both MOF and StG available at some point as well. Just trying to put 2 and 2 together.
Looks like I was right about this. Non-RSD edition of MOF (also includes Quietly Now!, the live album) now available for pre-order on Amazon US here: http://www.amazon.com/The-Midnight-Organ-Fight-Expanded/dp/B00C1TF7OM , release date of 5/7.
Still haven't found anything about/anywhere to pre-order the Sing the Greys reissue yet though.

No That Thing You Do soundtrack either apparently. Boo.

That is the 200g 45rpm 2LP version. Pretty sure the UK RSD version is a 33rpm single LP.
However I don't believe the UK version is an RSD only/exclusive release, as it appears to be available for pre-order on both Amazon UK and Amazon US.
Amazon UK, release date 3/25: http://www.amazon.co.uk/August-Everything-After-VINYL-Counting/dp/B00B1MSKGW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363985911&sr=8-1
Amazon US (import), release date 4/2: http://www.amazon.com/August-Everything-After-Counting-Crows/dp/B00B1MSKGW/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=JIXC3W9RRIP4&coliid=IUOAHK5X5WBKT

I just "spoke" briefly with someone @ P4K - the PO details were included in a Press Release sent to music news outlets...the person does not know of any specific links yet
TWFM link is up on 4AD but it's dead
Dead link here: http://shopusa.4ad.com/trouble-will-find-me
It does state "Pre-order information coming soon for CD, Dbl LP, and Deluxe Dbl LP."
-
Do you think the RSD release also going to be having the second LP with the live performance? I'm really looking forward to that.
Actually I just looked at the Fat Cat website, it seems to say the package they announced today is exclusive to RSD, with 1000 copies pressed. So I think there is only going to be 1000 total.
Yeah, my thoughts are either the 500 stated previously is incorrect, or it's 500 US and 500 UK/rest of world.

With Jason Molina's passing on Saturday, I have been on a big Songs: Ohia / Magnolia Electric Co. / JMo solo stuff kick. RIP Jason.
-
Looks like the Punch Brothers - Ahoy EP 10" was removed/is not happening as well.
-
Man copies of Midnight Organ Fight are going to be impossible to land.
I'm still hopeful it's going to be available outside of RSD in a different version/edition, e.g. a "standard edition" without the art print.
-
Dangit, why is Counting Crows UK only?!
-
Jason Molina - Pyramid Electric Co.

JR puts on one of the best live shows ive seen by the way. the new record is not as strong as Animal Years or Historical Conquests, but it is definitely growing on me
Definitely agree with both statements above. At this point I prefer the more epic/historical/story-telling songwriting of previous albums, although I have only listened to the new record a couple times, hoping it's a grower. I was surprised to see that Zach Hickman only plays on 1 song on the record. I haven't listened to the bonus 7" yet.
I pre-ordered the Deluxe LP and noticed on the included CD that there is 4-5 minutes of silence between the 7th and 8th tracks, which is the same place the side break is on the LP. It's like they were trying to simulate having to get up and turn the LP over on the CD as well. Is that intentional/how it's supposed to be or is my CD (or CD player) wonky? If intentional, that's pretty cool.
Also, in comparing the lyrics on the printed inner sleeve to what Josh actually says/sings there are quite a few differences, including the sleeve missing the last 3 lines of the last verse of Nightmares.
-
man, totally missed the boat on this.
anywhere online to order a deluxe jam?
Looks like Insound might still have some copies of the Deluxe LP. Says "In Stock" when you add it to your cart.

Where are you getting this info? Not that I don't believe you just eager for more info...
oojavaguru's site/blog:

He hasn't updated the first page of his RSD releases post here at VC with it yet.

44 hours left to pledge!

So apparently the MOF reissue is going to be available on/for RSD. Haven't seen anything about when Sing the Greys will be available.

What indie version? I never saw anything about an indie (I assume you mean independent record store) version announced.
