That's the same seller I just ordered The National - High Violet UK/EU violet/purple press from (he was cheaper than SirenDisc.com) and I got it way before the estimated arrival date as well.

Will probably hold off on pre-ordering this one, but hoping it's a return to form of Black Sheep Boy and earlier albums. I really wasn't that impressed with The Stand-Ins (outside of Lost Coastlines) and I Am Very Far.

tempted to drop the 25 to get that kickstarter record. although i'm worried this won't be funded. 60 grand is a lot...

 

I'd say do it. You won't be charged if it doesn't get funded.

Really love this band, anybody that likes Arcade Fire and/or indie rock (especially orchestral based) should really check them out.

 

In the details of the Kickstarter page it says White Lighter will be a Special Edition Gatefold LP on White Vinyl with Red/Yellow Splatter, which should match the cover art nicely. I assume the regular/retail version will be on standard black vinyl, but don't know that for certain.

 

I also missed out on Hunger & Thirst on vinyl, which made me happy/excited to see this statement at the bottom of Tender Loving Empire's news post in May about Typhoon leaving TLE for Roll Call Records:

 

"TLE will be reissuing 180 gram colored vinyl editions of Typhoon’s Hunger & Thirst (on red vinyl) as well as A New Kind of House (on chocolate brown vinyl) in the very near future."

Late March, Death March! With 4 tracks, plus the title track! The b-side The Architect, is fantastic and may be their best acoustic song ever written!!!! Includes an Alt version of Late March and 2 live songs!

 

They are really cranking out the extras with this LP! Love to see this! Not enough bands do this!

 

My advice....Press an extended LP...with the backyard Skulls EP and this! And a few other live tracks and BOOM! 2xLP expanded reissue! 

 

I would like it a lot better if the EPs weren't UK only (and digital only for that matter). Both the Backyard Skulls EP and the Late March, Death March EP are this way and its really annoying.

I haven't been paying close attention to this thread - I know the deluxe box was slightly delayed but did we get an ETA on that already?

Pretty. happy with my 180g Black though, especially with the labels.

 

How are the labels different on the 180g black compared to the retail pressings?

Got MOF from Amazon today.  No art prints obviously, but it sounds great so far.  Inner sleeves are quite nice too, kinda bummed they passed on doing a gatefold sleeve though.

 

Supposed to get mine from Amazon tomorrow. Can you tell if it is 180g (like the RSD version is) or not?
