Dan, don't totally disagree but I think sometimes it takes a super-slow-motion replay to see something like a foot slightly slide. Plus, I'm personally fine with a few inch slide being let go. If its older its likely Wine will do it. However, you're far better off finding something Linux geared that does the same thing. It'll work better and more reliably. Something like GIMP.

To me, Ubuntu seems more polished than any other distro I've used to this point. It installs like Mac OS X or Windows. You go right in to a GUI and its got an active community supporting it. The major hassle I found was finding support for either bleeding edge stuff or older stuff. I tried installing successfully Ubuntu 9.10 on an ancient Dell Dimension desktop and had to go through some interesting loops to get wireless working. Still haven't got DVDs to play correctly.

No, I actually believe the Wings most certainly do not have the horses to beat the Sharks four times in a row. Lidstrom is getting old, Rafalski is a bit under-sized, leaving Stuart to get big minutes. The Wings 3rd and 4th lines aren't what they once were. Dats and Zetterberg can't dominate a game against a team with as much talent as San Jose has and that's what it would require for the Wings to win 4 in a row. Its not going to happen and there's nothing to suggest from what I've seen the Wings even have the ability to do so.

Woohoo hyperbole!! Look, there are rules about food safety. If Starbucks stayed within those rules, they're good. If they did not, were warned, ignored the warnings and someone got hurt they're liable. Its that fucking simple. If you want to change the rules about food safety, fine. The water TENDS to be over 200 degrees Fahrenheit when making coffee and tea. I don't agree. At one point it might be, sure. But then there should be process in place to allow some amount of cooling before passing it to a customer. And tea doesn't require boiling water to work. This man knows his stuff. I was going to say the same thing. Ubuntu is tits. I'll tell you off the bat you'll need to do some work to get DVD playback working as it doesn't "ship" by default with it. And Ubuntu is also about to release their version 10 product so its a good time to get started with it. Download yourself XBMC and you have a nice media-center style piece of software to use for watching digital movies and the like. Good times.

Now, I think frivolous lawsuits are shit, they're a drain for sure. However, in this case there's one opening I see. If this specific Starbucks was warned before their water was far too hot and did nothing about it. That's what happened in the McDonald's case. That specific store was warned before about their coffee being unsafely hot. They did nothing. When the plaintiff pulled in to the drive-thru and put her coffee between her legs to hold it she received second and third degree burns. That's over-the-top hot and totally unsafe for food service. If something similar happened here, totally within the confines of normal to sue. I don't want nor do a need water that'll cause second and three degree burns for my tea.

They drag the NBA playoffs out for so damn long. Its pretty ridiculous. Also I cant believe the Laker game ended up as close as it did yesterday. Especially after the way it started. I figured there would be some evening out since the Lakers weren't going to shoot 72% for the game. Still the bench looked pretty bad after actually looking pretty good.
