I'd call that "god money". I'm amazed that actually happens. I always put a typed note in with my shit. I'm all like trying to be friendly and shit in hopes of snagging some free stuff. Yeah I don't understand it. People often compound it all with making the money orders 100% blank. If that got stolen in the mail anyone could cash it.

Hahaha! This label kinda blew up after the Peace With Nothing 7", did they get too big for their own good? Who knows what's going on over there. He did kind of come out of nowhere with some pretty heavy first releases for a guy no one had ever heard of before. But I mean the guy could have legitimatly been laid up in the hospital with no way or will to deal with his label and now that he's out he could very well be balls deep in angry people and not quite know what to do/be able to deal with them in the way that everyone wants. I sympathize. If your life is in the shitter and someone is bitching about $10 it can be a little low on the priority list. He probably means well but sometimes your best intentions go tits up on you.

Oh and for you old school types sending in cash or money order...for godssake put a piece of paper in with your money with your address clearly written and what you ordered. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten $8 in the mail with no info at all and the address all chicken scratched on the envelope with no name. It's bizzare.

Okay. Comps are still available but I am officially out of the splits. Those of you currently feeling left out...I'm getting more in a few weeks...or you can order from the label. They should still have them in stock. Whatever you do don't jump the gun and hit up ebay.

Hey everyone, As a dude in the mail order business I wanted to go over a few things with youse guys who have paypal accounts and enjoy ordering records and paying via that paypal account. For the sanity and safety of everyone involved in the process (yourself included) please read the following and make sure you're squared away. 1. MAKE SURE PAYPAL HAS YOUR CURRENT SHIPPING ADDRESS: Obviously a basic but important peice of information. You'd be surprised how many people have old addresses saved with paypal 2. CONFIRM YOUR ADDRESS WITH PAYPAL. THIS INCLUDES EVERYONE OUTSIDE OF THE US! This does not take a lot of effort and it puts sellers at ease when it's done. Every side in the mail order business wants to be, and feels better when they're protected from fraud. Take a few minutes and hook this up today if you haven't already. 3. MAKE SURE PAYPAL HAS THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU CHECK ALL THE TIME AS YOUR MAIN EMAIL ADDRESS I shit you not I had someone from June of last year write me last month to tell me they finally checked the email address paypal had on file and found an email I sent them letting them know there was a problem with their order. Almost a year later! If something goes wrong in the process you want the seller to be able to get in touch with you. I can not tell you how many times I hear "oh man I'm sorry I never check this email address". Well hoss get on the stick and update that account. It's your money and if people can't get ahold of you, you basically sent it in to a black hole. I also get a lot of outdated email address provided that get bounced back to me because they've been elminated forever ago. Anyway thanks for reading all of that. I feel like if everyone makes sure they've got those things covered a lot of hassles and heartache will be avoided.

As time goes on I find it less odd/less offensive to my sensibilities. Money Orders can be a hassle to obtain and once they're gone they're gone. Paypal however is right there and if some shady shit goes down you have some recourse to get that money back. I think it's a little too easy but that's neither here nor there. I think the advent of Paypal in general has been a great thing for mail order.

My advice to all parties involved... People with rare D4 stuff: Hold on to that shit until the new record comes out. Which may sound like a joke but I do believe it will be this year based on stuff I've heard. Which may also sound like a joke but isn't. People wanting rare D4 shit: Get it now before the new record comes out. Which may sound like...blah blah blah. Right now things are going for really cheap. I don't know why but there has been a recent flood of the early singles that you never used to see on ebay. Get it now.

Um...yes. They're brand new from the label they've got everything they're supposed to.

Hey Everyone, Just got the masters for the Git Some full length and posted two MP3's for any interested parties to listen to. Chuck and Neil from Planes Mistaken For Stars were in this band prior and post PMFS. I'm releasing the full length in August. LP only with download code in each copy. I think it's a sign that these are going to go for quite a bit. Seems like the trend these days is to not bid a damn thing until the day it closes or like a minute before it ends. If that Ted Leo LP is already up to $100 people must be hot for it.

I'm helping a Lookout Records old timer clear out some records from their personal collection and the first batch I'm putting up tonite (Sunday June 8th) includes test pressings of some of Lookout's most crucial releases. Including stuff from... Green Day Operation Ivy Pinhead Gunpowder Rancid The Donnas Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Crimpshrine Ted Leo Citizen Fish MTX The Queers Ben Weasel Neurosis and a number of lesser titles as well. In all there are 50 records going up to tonite in 1 minute intervals starting at 6pm. Just to head you off at the pass if you're wondering if I have the "band x" test pressing you've always wanted...these are the only titles that this person has test pressings for in their personal collection that they wanted to get rid of. So if it ain't on the list I don't have it. I realize this is a bit of a teaser post since these aren't up yet but I wanted to get this out there ASAP just in case I can't get to it after the auctions are started.
