  1. Chuck Ragan 7"s on colored from Rat Patrol Built To Spill "car/girl" 7" on white Loudon Wainwright III "Dead Skunk" jukebox 7" Frank Black "S/T" LP (orig on 4AD)
  2. The colors of greatest note look like so...I took two photos so you'd get a better idea of what they look like. There's dark grey marble, purple mess, orangey (only 1 left) and the weirdo pink and grey (only 1) The others I have are a more traditional grey and more the purple mess/marble.
  3. I've got a few different colors I can toss your way...including this orangish color that I didn't send out to anybody...well maybe one dude recently. There were only a few and I held them back.
  4. It was. 2xLP. one side of the second LP was etched. Not sure how many made. Only pressed on black though. Postive on that.
  5. Valid question. Let's say Spring. The "Various States" reissue may come out sooner than that though...that's the easy one. The second one needs artwork and everything done on it.

  7. I missed out on this...would you be down to trade for new stuff?
  8. Awesome. Glad you like them. The Git Some side of that 7" turned out a 100 times better than I thought it would. Their side is so long I figured the sound quality would be crappy...but it's actually pretty true to the recording.

  10. PS the first 12" is not good. I mean it's worth it to have if you're a completist but it's just not very good.
  11. I think they made maybe 500 of those LP's and I haven't seen one for sale anywhere in probably over a year. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you though. Still pissed these guys broke up.
  12. I think it took over a month for me to get my Samiam LP from them. I actually forgot that I ordered it. After working in mail order professionally and for myself I do not understand why people can't get shit out/don't see a value in doing mail order professionally. I call shenanigans.
  13. yeah there were delays with the covers for the 2nd press of this. That's why the In The Red split was shipped earlier. If you ordered them together however they will be shipping together.
  14. Here's a couple of reviews as well NO FRONT TEETH: - So, the debut 7" from Steve E. Nix's new project is here and just how necessary this piece of wax is, is unbelievable. "Terminal Boredom" is a mind-blower that spews the power pop perfection of TEENAGE HEAD, THE PROFESSIONALS and THE BOYS combined, yes it's on a par with that. This is one talented leper colony right here. The B-Side "Prove It" is a slower paced power pop gem with a strong rock 'n' roll edge. Fans of the BRIEFS will certainly cream their pants over this and of course there are similarities with Steve singing and playing guitar and that's a great thing, but THE CUTE LEPERS are by no-means another BRIEFS, their sound is much more power-pop based and stripped-down. I've had the privilege of hearing the CUTE LEPERS full-length and oh my, this is something to get very excited about. NFT will be releasing their second 7" so get ready for that one too. This is all absolutely obligatory listening/owning. PUNKNEWS.ORG: - I can’t decide whether to be upset that the Briefs are taking time off, or piss myself with glee that Briefs guitarist Steve E. Nix has provided another outlet with which to kick ass in the Cute Lepers. I don’t have any idea how or why it took seven people to comprise the Cute Lepers, but I’m not going to complain because they rule anyway. The two songs on the Cute Lepers 7-inch offer a delicious taste of what’s to come, and depending on how cheap you are, come on black, white, blue, and clear vinyl. Did you mean Cote Lovers? Your search did not match any results. Browse to see everything in the iTunes store. Oh yeah, it’s also not online for you corporate MP3 kids. Side A belongs to “Terminal Boredom,” a tune that clearly bears the mark of the Briefs with a rock and roll inflection of handclaps, catchy repetition, pounding piano chords, and crass, youthful lyrics: "My head’s clean / The goo is on my sheets." All things considered, one of the best punk songs this year. “Prove It” owns side B, with an `80s-dance-meets-Rolling-Stones vibe that somehow works under the musical genius of Nix. A jagged guitar lick carries the verse that builds into a nonsensical chorus that remains catchy even if I don’t entirely understand it: "Silly proof / It never fails / To prove that the world just don’t care / Silly proof but it’s a fact / Someday you’re gonna need the strength you lack." If there was ever a song that actually sounded right being faded out, “Prove It” is that song, as the sound drowns out with Nix whispering “Bang bang!”. So after listening to the Cute Lepers numerous times, I’ve decided to let my beloved Briefs rest as long as I can still get my fill of power-pop-punk from Steve E. Nix and co. “Terminal Boredom” and “Prove It” will fit in with any music fan’s collection, and are a must for all Briefs addicts out there. (GlassPipeMurder)
  15. Hey Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that the second pressing of the Steve E. Nix and The Cute Lepers 7"s are in stock and shipping now! If you pre-ordered this you should be seeing it shortly. For those of you who don't know what the deal is with this: The Cute Lepers are essentially Chris and the two Steve's from The Briefs' new band. Pretty similar style but with more of a Power Pop feel to it. They're currently touring the west coast with The Horrorpops. If you want to check them out you can take a listen over at their myspace http://www.myspace.com/thecutelepers. This record features the songs "Terminal Boredom" and "Prove It". We did 200 copies on Green vinyl and 800 on Black and the covers are slightly different than the first press. If you'd like to order you can do so by heading to the following links GREEN VINYL BLACK VINYL And if you're on the West Coast you can go see them at the following shows! Aug 28 2007 STUDIO 99 Bakersfield, California Aug 29 2007 ALPINE Ventura, California Aug 30 2007 DOWNTOWN BREW San Luis Obispo, California Aug 31 2007 SLIMS San Francisco, California Sep 1 2007 HAWTHORNE THEATRE Portland, Oregon Sep 2 2007 Medford, Oregon Sep 4 2007 DOMINO ROOM Bend, Oregon Sep 5 2007 THE BOARDWALK Sacremanto (Orangevale), CA Sep 6 2007 VETS HALL Santa Cruz, California Sep 7 2007 HOUSE OF BLUES Los Angeles, California Sep 8 2007 SOMA San Diego, California Sep 9 2007 HOUSE OF BLUES Anaheim, California
  16. For the first time ever we were actually able to start shipping a pre-order well before the record was actually scheduled to come out. Well if you consider two weeks "well before". At any rate if you already ordered this (and didn't order the Cute Lepers 7" with it) your orders are on your way to you today and a few stragglers tomorrow. For those of you who haven't ordered yet here's the spiel... After a few years away, Mike Hale from Gunmoll is back in a full band and recording again. In The Red take up essentially where Gunmoll left off with Board of Rejection. Extremely powerful Jawbreaker by way of Hot Water Music style punk. Git Some on the other side consists of Neil and Chuck from Planes Mistaken For Stars, Lucious Fairchild of a hundred Denver bands and Andy Lindstrom. You ever see that picture of Van Halen hanging out with Black Sabbath? Well replace Van Halen with Black Flag and have them all sitting on a mountain of weed and you begin to get a rough idea of what Git Some are about. Myspace pages for both bands...In The Red and Git Some . Two songs by each band and cover art illustrated by Cristy Road! We're doing 100 on Red and 400 on black. You can order by going HERE. Oh and still in the pipeline for later this month is the repress of the Steve E. Nix and The Cute Lepers 7". For those of you who don't know it's essentially 3/4 of the Briefs playing a slightly more power pop version of what you know them for. The reissue has altered cover artwork. We're doing 200 on Green and 800 on Black. You can order by going HERE.
  17. email the guy and say "hey goober, refund me my $5 hoss"
  18. Word on the street is they laid people off recently. Doubt that's gonna make things better on the customer service front nor does it bode well for trying to get paid from them.
  19. Scott, I just think that comparing them to D4 is lazy. There is a small vocal similarity between Ross and Eric but that's it. The songs are structured differently and I can't think of a single song of theirs that sounds like a D4 song at all. I wish I could. I love D4 and I'd like to be able to tell people that like them that it sounds like D4 and they'll love it. But it doesn't. Dillinger Four is the new Against Me!/Lucero/Leatherface/Hot Water Music/Jawbreaker/Screeching Weasel etc. A band that every band gets compared to even though they only have vague similarities or sound nothing alike.
  20. media mail over the last month has been a nightmare. Taking up to and over a month to get to people on the same coast as I am even. I've been thinking of cutting it out all together because of all the trouble I've had.
