Hey Everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm opening a real world store out in Oakland this month. It's a tiny little spot but I'm going to cram it with about 95% vinyl and 5% whatever else I can fit in there. The official "grand" opening is on the 15th of this month but I'll be in there working on stuff and selling things starting this Saturday. If you're in the neighborhood stop by! Not all of the stock will be out before the grand opening (our 7" bin won't even be built until the day before!) but there will be some good stuff out from my personal collection and distro. If you run a label or distro get in touch. I'd like to talk to you about direct sales/promos etc. If you live in the area and want to sell me your old records I definitly want you to stop by haha. Got the Blue vinyl today and should be getting the white tomorrow for everyone who pre-ordered...you shiz is on it's way ASAP! If you need a white vinyl copy and didn't pre-order check in with No Idea ASAP they've got some but I think they'll be gone really quickly.

As of last week they had less than 80 left and it has been jumping up their top items list. I'm not sure how many are left but it can't be all that much.

When is the CD of this coming out, Steve? PM me! I want to make sure it gets reviewed. CD is due out in May on Blackheart Records. I'm sure they'll be shooting you guys some promos shortly. The band is actually selling them on tour right now. I'm not really sending anything out for review on this one since it's essentially already sold out and it'll be at least a few months before a repress comes along.

Rad. I actually haven't seen the records yet so this is a treat for me too haha. I had these shipped directly to the band in Cleveland so they have them before I do. I expect my copies to be in on Thursday so the massive mail out will begin right around there. Oh by the by...if you want a blue copy...only 20 left. Hop on that stick!

Yeah Saturn is just doing ebay out of the upper level of that place. I actually picked up an LP bin of his for a store I'm opening in a week or so on 40th in Oakland. Mission Records is looooooooooong gone. I miss that place. Every now and again there'd be some really crucial used records for really cheap and they had tour versions of practically everything new since bands would play there. Awesome place to see a show too. I fully approve of record stores you can drink 40's in.

It took over two months for my samiam record to finally make it to me. I actually completely forgot that I ordered it.

cuz when you keep it inside of the cover for a long time, you get the cover "circle-marked" by the record. AKA Ring Wear. Although, as long as your records aren't jammed in tight on a shelf your chance for ring wear is small. I've been collecting records for 15 years and some of the first ones I got look fine.

I'm chill with adding stuff like punk/emo/indie/hardcore etc because I often search on ebay using stuff like "punk 7" and just browse what comes up. I think it's really shitty to do the whole "LP not CD or 7"" thing. I won't bid on stuff like that. I feel like the person has already started out on a bad foot by jerking me around on the auction title.

I think that's a bit of a stretch.

I ususally charge $12.40 for an LP to europe and $7 for a 7". On a side note...Australia and Japan are always a little more than that. Canada and Mexico are super cheap. Sometimes less than what media mail is in the states!

I got around $125 for Coral Fang earlier last year. I think they have a fairly rabid fan base and that's why stuff goes for so much. I don't think there are a lot of passive Distillers fans.

That has nothing to do with my point/issue. Let's just find this guy some damn Calvary records and be done with all of this!

Semantics blah blah blah but once again...It's just odd to have something suddenly mean something else...especially in a way that makes it seem like the people using the new definition don't really understand what it's supposed to be about.
