My thoughts exactly. It feels like this record got all the push its gonna get, at this point after extensive touring/the band being in the same place for the better part of the last year you would think they wrote a few new songs. This album just doesnt have the tracks to propel them the way it seems theyre hoping for.

Also wondered about what seemed like totally redone vocals. I felt as though the original ones were the best sounding part of the record.

this thread has inspired me to dust off the ole  frances and put it on my table, still sounds fantastic.  i think everyone should revisit it, on any and all formats!

Ah i see, as someone who owns all the og pressings besides Deloused, i say just hunt down a 2005 3LP copy. It sounds incredible, and that one looks a little sketchy to me.

Definitely love the adventures vocals here, though im hoping more songs will have the gloomy, gazey Dreams in Inertia sound. This one feels... commercial.

I have False Colors on yellow and didn't like it much. I guess they re-released it or getting rid of old stock?

re release it seems, my mirage is clear with black liner and my 2 song smokey tint with white ink! i wonder if there are some discrepancies with what is sent out to who, i never got arrows in her, but was able to get one now some months after it shipped out.

Also having some scratching issues but its definitely better after a deep clean. Definitely notice a difference between the sound of the tape and mp3s sounding better than the vinyl bass and clarity-wise.

That being said, this album is definitely a grower. I wrote it off pretty heavily at first, but sitting down with it these past couple weeks and after watching the documentary, i have a new appreciation for it.

An update

Limited run sets stuff as shipped at a certain point in processing. So i sadly doubt these have even come in to bwm yet. I imagine KEXP and other Twiabp vinyl have been taken down or will be as the band is buying their stock from the label, hence their new webstore.

It looks as if Derrick is in WV for the holiday. Also, since BWM hasnt made a peep in like 2 weeks nor did they have a Black Friday sale, it seems as if she is being much less active with the label. We haven't seen a cassette club package since September.

All in all, i imagine these will be received at some point, just not anytime soon and definitely without any updates.

Got my black copy yesterday, spinning it now.. this record is absolutely breathtaking. Still confused if its accurate to list it /50 copies??

Edit: Appears there are only 14 left of the black so if you are wanting this record, get on it or forever be scouring for a copy second hand.  Assuming that it is indeed /50.  Would be nice to compare the matrix' on the US and UK black variants.

Broken World is a 2 person operation.  The new guy Howard is in Ireland and I think Derrick was in the hospital.  Things are changing there, as with any small operation its gonna take a while to work out kinks.  I learned all of this from reading comments on the BWM Facebook page.  I agree its a shame people are waiting on Deer Leap, but again sometimes it takes time, and the music is readily available to listen to online.

Pretty sure basically all of their releases up to deer leAp were on time.  arrows in her, for everest, loner chic, etc. Keep in mind black friday rsd is a real drain plug when it comes to smaller pressings like BWMs.

While i know the "first vinyl listen" is great, i think it's also awesome they put the releases online for free download instead of making you wait like many other labels do.

Delays happen, and we all know its not like BWM is holding shit hostage while laughing maniacally.

Looks like both collectors edition variants are gone. Fml

For the record, its impossible to distinguish between the two via the packaging but the matrix numbers are different.  Both seem to be Mom & Pop pressings (aka from the US).

 

Oh, and both sound phenominal.  I'll post pictures momentarily.

Pretty sure theyre moving to gmail. Had a gmail address respond to an email i sent to the dave handle. Response is verrrry sparse, been trying to cancel an order for about 2 weeks now.
