The real winner this past weekend was the Foo show at the metro. 3 1/2 hrs. It was incredible! I know, not AF releated, just thought I needed to say something since we're talking about this past weekend.
Yep, in my previous post I typed out saying that I wish I could've landed tickets to Foo Fighters too, but then deleted it since it wasn't AF related haha. I got lucky enough getting AF, so I wasn't too bummed to be unsuccessful with the FF ticket sale.

There's a section in your Amazon account that lists out past/cancelled orders too. I wonder if Amazon will just supply them with a list of the cancelled orders and they'll sign that many and send them to Amazon to fulfill. I guess we'll see.

I was at the Metro show as well and it was a blast. Really a treat to see them in a small venue.

Seeing them tonight... can't wait!!!
Echoing what @sVegas22x said - interested in what their shirts are like. I need more QOTSA shirts, especially shirts I can cut the sleeves off of \m/

GY!BE, DMST, and BSS all releasing albums this year. Thank you Canadian post-rock scene. We don't deserve it.

I am thinking that maybe the Icky Thump anniversary boxset might deserve its own thread?

Feel free to bump that if you want. Didn't really gain much traction right when the news came out. Personally, I prefer the single TMR thread as a catch-all for all things Jack White related. Easier to stay in the loop that way, and it keeps the convo centralized.

If you still need help getting hyped for this album, this should do the trick:

QuoteRecording unlikely covers has become a kind of hobby for the band — they’ve done everything from Neil Young’s “Walk On” to No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” to a full-length version of Michael Jackson’s Thriller that the band doesn’t play for me but promises is epic.
Umm, can we talk about this real quick. That's the album I'm now hyped for.

Nope. It's my fav album of theirs, and the only one I own on vinyl.

My copy sounds fantastic, but I haven't played it from that source in years to be honest. I bought a cheap black copy that I can drive into the ground.
Good to know! I was thinking of buying a black copy instead, but I really like how the OG press has those two extra songs and the alternate track listing that the black doesn't have.

my Lullabies color OG is a beaut.
How does that copy sound? I just found one for a good price but it's being shipped from Germany. I'm afraid the hot weather is going to mess with it while it's in transit. We'll see, but I'm hoping I made a good decision!

Pretty sure yeah, you'll get any outstanding orders from the store and you'll retain any credits in your account (which you'd be able to use if you ever re-sub).
Cool, thanks for the response!

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but couldn't find the info on their site.
Say I cancel my monthly subscription (I don't want Kevin Morby), but I have an outstanding order still left to ship (Fleet Foxes), I'll still get that outstanding order correct? Can't see why I wouldn't, but just wanted to confirm with someone on here who's potentially been in or currently is in a similar situation.

I can't say it's their best, but I'm still very happy it exists. I love this band so much.

VMP forum mods confirmed that the signed vinyl were not for them. Especially since the records aren't being sent out til late June/early July. Guess we'll find sooner or later.
I wonder if they'll send a signed copy out to a bunch of local shops to give away as a prize in raffles to whomever buys a regular copy. Similar to what they did with the white copies of HB.
-
I want this, but idk how much I'll actually listen to it. I am, however, very tempted to buy the cassettes of each album as they're currently on sale for $5.50 each. I may just have to do one big order with the LP included.

I finally checked this band out, and WOW... I LOVE THIS.
Here's another new song they posted today:

Based on what happened with the special edition of AMSP, I think I'm going to wait to hear what the opinions are of the sound quality before I buy the box set. I want it, but only if it's the absolute top quality listening experience, similar to how people feel about the special edition of In Rainbows. Hopefully it lasts until then. Regardless, I'm very excited for this!

I was just reading the press release on the constellation website and noticed this:
Quote“Horripilation”, “Murder Of Thoughts”, “d=3.57√h”, “Return, Return Again” recorded at Sundlaugin Studio, Reykjavik, Iceland, engineered by Jon “Biggi” Birgisson.
Can anyone confirm that this is the same Jon Birgisson as Jónsi, the singer from Sigur Rós?? Would be cool if it's him.
I'm so excited for this release. One of my favorite bands of all time.

Posting for that sweet star. Can't wait for what's ahead.

It's black.
Shoot - Ok. Thanks for the response. Guess I'll continue to be on the lookout for the blue copy!

My local record store has copies of the "1st press gold foil stamped cover w/ slipmat while supplies last" edition of this album, but wasn't aware of whether the disc is blue or black. Has anyone bought this at a store today to confirm the disc color?

Should I assume the yellow pressing of A Deeper Understanding will be using the same stampers as the other variants (black, coke bottle blue, others idk about)? Not sure how that works or if that info will be provided.
