  1. when I bought Paint It Golden, it came shipped in a flimsy envelope and came completely damaged. Couldn't even get a replacement. Lydia vinyl have a bad track record
  2. what dipshit at SRC approved the Test Presses?? someone who is not familiar with the album at all and is just out to make a quick buck
  3. someone on twitter said this: "@LYDIAmusic Bought the Illuminate pressing from SRC. There are gaps between every song, like they pressed it from a bad CD RIP." Is this actually the case?? seems like a major fuck up. the songs all lead into each other
  4. are you implying that this record will be available other places??
  5. I bought my copy from Amazon.ca, and after emailing them asking them for a replacement, they gave me a refund instead. Which was pretty cool of them considering I bought the album over 2 years ago.
  6. I've seen Lydia live twice after Illuminate came out. The first show was amazing. It was in this tiny room, very intimate. Whole band was there, including Mindy. Then I saw them again when they were opening for a bigger band in an actual venue. They had just released this acoustic EP that they recorded in a hotel room or something. And they did the show in that acoustic style. They were terrible. It sounded like they were just soundchecking the whole time. They were just winging it. It was the worst thing I have ever seen.
  7. The band just released 23 more copies of the 1st press on red/black. $35 http://thematches.storenvy.com/products/8050005-the-matches-e-von-dahl-killed-the-locals-limited-10-year-anniversary-viny
  8. I was more interested in the manufacturing process behind fixing this problem. So there is more dead wax on each side, but still the same amount of music on each side. so that must mean that in the fixed repress, the grooves are closer together so that the songs can finish before getting too close to the center, right? Wouldn't having the grooves closer together potentially affect the sound quality in some other way?
  9. I'm still a little confused about this new pressing. So they have a larger run out groove on the side that has Zero, but that side still has the same songs. So I guess the space between grooves was decreased? Wouldn't that potentially introduce another set of problems?
  10. Please let me know what they say. Who exactly are you contacting? The label? or the store you bought it from?
  11. Are the other sides (not side A) completely identical to the older pressing with the IGD?
  12. So I have a copy of this record with the short run out groove. wouldn't this be considered a pressing defect? Any way to get a replacement disc from the manufacturer or label, like how we were able to get replacement Earth discs for Thrice - Alchemy index? I would hate to have to drop another $80 for this
  13. Suprised Shady XV isn't included. Eminem appears on more songs on that than he does on the Re-Up, and it was pressed on vinyl. The Bad Meets Evil album he did with Royce the 5'9" would have been good too, but I guess that technically isn't a solo Eminem album
  14. Just picked up a copy at the Hot Topic at The Flat Irons Mall in Broomfield, CO. They have 1 more copy in stock.
  15. yea seriously, he's awesome. I saw him live last year, and it was one of the best shows I've been to. Even my friend, who has the worst attention span I've ever seen, was captivated the whole time. Usually he would be like "let's get the hell out of here" after two songs.
  16. Kishi Bashi is releasing a live album: http://www.joyfulnoiserecordings.com/kishi-bashi-live-on-valentines.html Also comes with a DVD and digital download of audio/video. Release date: 02/04/2014 Cost: $25 + shipping Tracklist: Intro / Pathos, Pathos (Live) Wonder Woman, Wonder Me (Live) Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It! (Live) I Am The Antichrist To You (Live) It All Began With A Burst (Live) With Or Without You (U2 cover, Live) Manchester (Live) Description: Live on Valentine's is an audio / visual hybrid, limited to just 1000 hand-numbered copies, on deluxe picture-disc vinyl and DVD. Purchase includes instant MP3 download of the album, and HD download of the video (video link will be emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase). NOTE: "Live on Valentines" will not be released in any other format, so don't wait for the CD or iTunes download on this one. Last Valentine's Day, Kishi Bashi performed a sold-out show at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. The show took place halfway through Kishi Bashi's first ever headlining tour, in support of his debut album 151a. The energy was captivating - often moving audience members to tears. Literally. Relying largely on his voice, a violin, and a loop pedal, Kishi Bashi reinterpreted songs for a live setting, bouncing from intimate tracks like "I Am The Antichrist To You" and "Manchester", to the grand and playful "It All Began With A Burst". He even explored the still-under-construction "Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It!" (which will be included on the upcoming sophomore album, details announced soon). Captured in high-quality audio and visual, the performance is being released just in time for Valentine's Day. Check out a sample here:

  19. I still haven't received mine yet. And I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation either. Any one else in the same boat?
  20. it would be sweet if labels use this site not just for represses, but for first presses of more obscure albums that would usually be too high risk to press otherwise. Like the Matches, Don't Look Down, Lucky Boys Confusion, October Fall, Rufio, or pretty much any of the pop-rock bands I used to listen to

Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler are back too, but unfortunately, there were some contract disputes with original drummer Bill Ward, so he won't be on this album. Brad Wilk, the drummer from Rage Against the Machine, is replacing him. Rick Rubin is producing -- hopefully there aren't any loudness issues. Here's a video of Rick Rubin on producing this album: video teaser: Album art reveal with new song snippet: New single from album: Another new song from album, performed live: edited on 3/19/2013 to add Amazon link edited on 4/07/2013 to add album art reveal video edited on 05/03/2013 to add 'God is Dead?' and 'Loner' tracks
