When they opened for Circa fall of last year, my friend and I saw Jon and Bailey loading up their stuff in Chicago in the street after the show. I just shouted to Jon "You guys played an awesome show" and he seemed like, nervous that anyone was talking to him. I get the vibe from him that he's a really nervous, anxious guy',, that might get mistaken for being stuck up.

Can I respond to this with funny .gif's, in a ridiculous attempt to merge the threads together and call it "Brand New and Balance Are Raging on VC?"

A ton of people who want this record are entering this huge online lottery with 666 chances of awesome success but a sure chance of pretty decent success. Or maybe it's like, Wonka's 666 blood red tickets. Not sure quite sure if he's Wonka or Lucifer himself at this point.

So for anybody who's been along for this entire 65 page ride, now that the official pre-order has sold out, what is the current best course of action to take?

I'm tuning BACK in to this thread, half the time I post and then never see a reply (Especially in this thread which gave me 947 notifications...) This link's availability is out of stock. That means it's time to let my hopes go back down again, right? I don't even know what fucking track I'm on with this new pressing vs everybody else, except I didn't have any money when that German pre-order went up, and others were buying 3 copies of that at a time. I don't know if I should try to buy one of the old TCR or AFS pressings from somebody else, or if this new pressings mean they will now reach reasonable prices, or what I should even try to do... The sad part is, I feel like because of the absolute atrocity of this thread, that there are so many more like me in the same boat. Almost 11000 copies of a record and it's still the hardest to try and get.

Had my album for about a week now, opaque red /750. I used priority shipping and it arrived in two days, so maybe that's why I'm one of the few who got it :/ B&C albums are weird for me- I always get really into the first half before even really playing the second but then I do and it's okay. That's what I did with Separation, and I love that whole thing now, but I've barely touched Side B of TTWTWM. Side A has a ton of surface noise- it's practically constant popping and crackling. As for the album it took a bit but it'll grow on me really fast. Everything these boys do is perfect.

lol what is this thread? A: Mostly complaining about an internet tabloid drawing attention to a very limited, maybe bootlegged, repress of an album everyone loves that is really high in demand and goes for high amounts of money on eBay. Maybe it's more serious than I thought. Or maybe my post is part of the problem. I can't really tell. Nor am I too concerned. 10,000 seems like a HUGE number of records. Then again, I suppose way more than 10,000 people love this album. I loved the album before I started buying records. I'd love a copy of it. But also, I don't have $120 to drop on a single LP. Kudos to everyone who has a copy, and death to those of you with 14 in all different colors. You're tacky and I hate you. As for me, I'll take some of tomorrow's paycheck and spend it on that German Amazon preorder. Something has to happen with that, I would think...

So the safest bet at this point is to jump on that German pre-order and hope for a red marble /666?

For those of us who've received our records, what do you think? Not just of the music, but of the press? Mine has some pretty active crackling/popping. Not super loud, but very consistent.

I slid the white paper sleeve on the record as much l could to get a firm grip, I just did my best to lift and pull until it lifted off. Then I used a knife like the techniques described in this thread to make it wider and now it fits no problem. Plays good too, no audible warped sound.

Say, somebody were to get a record that had a hole a tad too small, but still (dumbly) push it onto the spindle, thinking "There's no way it could get stuck!", and then, it did? Because I really would like to remove my Paramore-"AWKIF" without damaging it... Help!

Can you remind me what this is? The info is gone off the pre-order page since it sold out. A piece of the recording tape right? If I remember correctly it was of VERY limited supply, and by the time I got my ass to the pre-order, the /750 opaque red variant was the most limited I could get so I bought it, but I have that $50 insurance so... Idk if I"m getting the reel tape... :/

$35-40 is a decent penny I'd think... Better than $16 don't you think? That might be two more records he wants to buy.

If this is the Sunfire split, you'd be sure to get a decent penny for it on eBay if you don't end up finding a trade -shrug- Good luck though.

The Fame had many filler songs. Every one of the 8 tracks on the Fame Monster is absolutely perfect. I'd buy some kind of 7" boxset for that album... :/
